Consuming pure caffiene is much more potent than consuming it in an impure solution.

So, I think I've got it.

Brew coffee.
Add dichloromethane.
Swirl.
Separate two layers.
Evaporate the dichloromethane layer, (the one with the lighter colour).
Then somehow remove that crusty brown notsopure caffiene from the beaker/flask.

After doing this would it be safe to eat a little bit of this stuff, even though it was dissolved in a carcinogen? They do this industrially to make decaffeinated coffee but I bet they take more effect to remove it fully, right?

How do I extract caffiene from brewed coffee?

From some research I hear you have to like take it, add baking soda, then add dichloromethane which the caffiene will dissolve in, separate the two layers formed and then do some shit.
