"Tangible evidence of an 'intelligent' force influencing events' essentially, an obvious 'I exist'"

...whatever that means. The thing is, god is by the very nature of his description not provable. You can use unexplained phenomenon as evidence for god, but you can also remove every element attributed to god from the bible until everything has been disproved or attributed to some aspect of science, and you still couldn't disprove god. It's a no win situation. Therefore, the argument is moot. (see pic for better description I wrote a WHILE ago; also sage for off topic).

Do prostate cancer.
You can pull in the robotic surgery they use to fix it if that's allowed.

How is the HeLa cell line not a suggestion?
It's a biological immortal cancer that's used in research.

What's the name of the cancer cell line that's been continuously reproducing for, like, 40 years now or something? It's named for some girl...

It used to be worse.
I guess I should be thankful it's actually gotten better over the past couple of years. The scars and pitting are there, but they're not that big. Lucky I guess, but it's still frustrating sometimes.

Good luck, by the way.

That's true, and I don't really mean 'die'.
I like small journals and actually end up referencing them more often when I'm writing stuff (Coyote diet isn't all that revolutionary, after all, and that's what I tend to write about these days).

HAHA! I'm there with you sometimes. Also 22. Also have acne.

FUN FACT: I was an acutane for a while. It fucked my joints and my doctor at least partially blames it for being a factor in me dislocating my shoulder a few years ago. Highly not recommended for acne treatment.

PROTIPS:
*Wash your pillow case often
*Shave often. Do not slack off on this (see my pic; I look like shit)
*BUY ONE OF THOSE STUPID SULFUR MASK PRODUCTS. You will look like an idiot, but they work SO well.

Pic related, it's me when I haven't shaved in a week.
(Also, that was the longest my hair had ever been. It's usually, as it is now, a few inches shorter. This is from about 1 month ago.)

Also, I kinda get that journals were how information was distributed in the pre-computer age. They made relevant, peer-reviewed information findable. However, given that reviewers don't bet paid and we have massive databases to store and tag all this info, I'd say we should get rid of at least some of them. I mean the really prestigious ones will stay around forever (e.g. Nature), but some should either die or get MUCH cheaper. That's just an opinion, naturally, and a rather uninformed one at that. There could definitely be things I'm not seeing here.

>Your Age:
22
>Your prospective/current major or degree:
B.S. Biology (Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior)
MAY end up with a B.S. Biology (Computational Biology) if I choose to hang out as an undergrad for another year and pick up 3 more math courses (I fear not math despite the fact that I'm a biologist).
>Your College (If you went/are going to college):
University of Texas @ Austin
>Your opinion on the following carreers:
>Civil Engineering
Boring, but useful.
>Architecture
AWESOME! I like artistic things, and artistic things that also have to be functional are the best kind.
>Computer Science
I LOVE IT! Probably would have been my second choice as a major. CROSSOVER: Shannon entropy in information theory == Shannon index of biodiversity in Ecology
>Mechanical Engineering
My dad's field. Do not want, but respect.
>Economics
Like ecology, but they pretend there aren't any limits and they're too caught up in pushing their own views to get anything done. I still respect them.
>Business
The people who stare at me when I walk into THEIR building with dirty cargo pants? I <span class="math">loath[/spoiler] them.
>Psychology
Can be cool. I like the fact that modern psychologists rage as hard as I do when Freudianism comes up in conversations AND some take an evolutionary perspective (though, sometimes they overstep and try to use evolution to explain something that would be more easily explained as a societal thing)
>Philosophy
Fun. I get to learn the names for ways I've been thinking for years.
>Chemistry
Cool, but it's my least favorite of the 3 'big' science categories
>Physics
Fuckin' awesome. Third choice after Ecology and Computer Science.

IQ is a pretty lame measure of intelligence (it's just a pattern recognition exam).
You'll be fine as a med student if you're willing to let it eat your life. I've heard the classes aren't as bad as the FUCK MY ASS insane sleep deprivation due to insane scheduling and load.

Conclusion: Work hard. Love work. Eat, sleep, and breath work. Do well.

Oh, I see what you're saying.
This is a good point, too.

It's like:
All shapes with two dots can be squares.
A shape without a star can't be a square.
Squares exist.
A shape has two dots but no star is not a square.

The fallacy is that the shape has two dots, but, because it does not have a star, it can't be a square. This contradicts the first statement.

No it doesn't.
Everyone who plays more than twice CAN become an addict.
The people who play twice but aren't addicts because they've never played in a Casino just exist as a subset of the people who play twice and aren't addicts.

I think...
