Planetside, when you look at the star at different points of the day. It appears to change colors. What I was getting at, was that the star itself isn't changing colors, only your perception of the stars visible light has changed.

Of course, you could always look at it slightly differently and have a tidally locked planet with moon, resulting in perpetual moonlight on one side of the planet. (shrugs)

No, it really wouldn't work that way from a humans eye.

It's really a matter of perspective; think about our home star. It goes from white, to yellow, to pink, orange, even blood red. Obviously the light being emitted from the star hasn't dramatically changed, so only your perception of it has. (Bluntly put, it depends on what the atmosphere is like from the planet-side.)

Eugh...

Really? That's terrible. Have you checked into any of your states 'generally lower' rates?

Hah! I was literally looking for the same thread to bump, for the same reason, when I saw this.

Now just remember that in other countries, the cost of post-secondary education isn't forced upon the individual seeking to better themselves.

An odd way of wording the question; but yes.(If I read that right.)

Thanks for that. I didn't feel like responding to be honest. ^_^

Can you imagine actually saying this crap at a conference?

>A troll I know. But I can't help but note the irony of the statements, in that s/he's typing this on a computer, being read over the internet, and being fed and sheltered by the very thing s/he's feigning attacks upon.

What happens when you encounter a species that is literally incapable of departing their gravity well without external assistance? (Due to resource limitations or something.)

Really? That's uncanny; not unexpected though. I live in the shadow of Middlebury(Weybridge) Looking for work in the Burlington area; hopefully I get a job there and can afford to move in.

That's the trick eh?

Well, since the situation is that 'we' are visiting 'them' I would presume we are of sufficient technological advancement to have become more intelligent, or at the very least to have produced intelligent ai's capable of computing vast quantities of information, and converting it into a meaningful response.

That aside, depends on their culture I suppose.

I mean look at humanity. Suppose non-native sentient lifeforms visited us tomorrow. Okay, half the populace would shit itself, while the other half would shit itself in a good way.

All they'd have to do would be to hang out by our moon, and wait for earth based delegates to come visit.

How long do you think it'd take for the major world governments to get their acts together?

>Would you call this a negative reaction?

I couldn't continue reading that manga. It was simply too bad.

Interact with them. Unless, of course, if in doing so it would create a horribly negative impact.

I highly doubt you'd have any qualms at that point.

This is akin to children thinking that kissing is gross.

Sounds more positive than it's been either way.

It'll turn around eventually; we're here talking about it after all.
