What's current times resistance?

>> No.4551327 [View]

Meh. I don't know if I should do this, or if I should make you do your homework. But either way, a hint wouldn't hurt.
The total current in the circuit is 9A.
The current through R4 is 7A.
This info should give you the current through R3.
With the current and the resistance, use Ohm's law.

Start with:
"Call me crazy, but..."
and just wing the rest.

I never really tried to solve one. I was more interested in the mechanical linkages.

8 - ((6 * (2^3)) / (-8)) = 14
I cut and pasted your original in Google. I was even too lazy to actually do it myself.

If god is so great, why hasn't god proved science wrong?

If it doesn't exist, then it can't be measured.

That's correct. A battery has the electrons locked up in a chemical reaction. As long as you have the proper chemical, it'll keep cranking out electrons. A capacitor doesn't have that chemical ability. A cap isn't rated in amp/hour, but in voltage and capacitance.

Yep. I got a little wordy on. I tried to keep it short, but I couldn't.

Sort of, although in a battery every time you use up an electron the chemicals release a new one.

You're right. I'm a douche. I misread his statement.
Power is a circuit actually doing work. A 25 watt light bulb "eats" 25 watts of power and converts it to light and heat. If you measure the current and the voltage, you can calculate the power by multiplying the two, i.e. 0.2083A * 120V =25W.

Voltage is where you have more electrons on one place than you do at another. The electrons aren't doing anything, they just sit there and want to go to the place where it's not so crowded. Current is when you have electrons moving past you. Current is when the electrons are moving. You can have voltage without current, and have current without voltage. For current, imagine you have a ring of superconductor. There are electrons doing nothing because they have nowhere to go. "Hit" the ring with a magnetic pulse and the same electrons start moving, even though there is no voltage present.

I have an idea. How about separation of church and state?

Meh. Whatever. I knew a particle might have gone faster than the speed of light, but I didn't know which one. So I googled "faster than light particle" and neutrino was the first hit.

The bartender at CERN says "We don't serve your kind in here".
So a neutrino walks into a bar.

It was the late '80s. Long ago during the DADT shit. In fear of threadjacking the OP, when I was an atheist I was always being accused of protecting gays, being a devil worshiper, but after my "change" I was no longer questioned and got promotions.

>> No.4187658 [View]

Heard you were joining the military. When you get your dog/ID tags and they ask you your religion, lie and tell them you're one of the Christian religions. This is from personal experience. I actually changed my tags from "atheist" to "Catholic" just to doge the hate. Don't think you can work around it by choosing "no preference".

The bar one has external poles that will show a strong external field. The "C" shaped one will have the same magnetic field as the bar, but the gap is made smaller and the external field will be concentrated in a smaller area. If you kept going and made a core that was a closed loop, all of the magnetic field wold be "hidden" inside the core, with little or no external field. All three designs would have the same magnetic field, but focused differently.

tl;dr
Neither is stronger.

A kiln will probably be able to put out more heat than the best thermocouple can handle (melt). I personally feel the best bet would be to use one of those non-contact laser temperature devices. From what I understand of kilns, you use clay cones that are designed to bend when a certain temperature is reached. By putting in different cones of different temperatures you can pop the top every now and then and observe which cone has wilted.
