Could someone explain to me what it should look like or is it such a concept that can't be diagramed in such a simple manner?

I guess what mixed me up was that the whole concempt was being displayed with the idea of folding dimensions. Granted that all may be bull shit as well. Thought it to have more validity than I thought.

So I'm in my first semester of Organic Chemistry. Two exams are down (VB/MO Theory, Isomers, Resonance, Stereochemistry, etc) First one I got a 64 and the second one I got a 90 (#3 out of 680) by absolute luck. With the average for the class in the 50s and a curve that makes a 75 an A-, I'm sitting pretty decently as long as I stay consistent on the next exam and final. This next exam is getting in to the reactions/reagents, etc.

So in order to stay in the game, has anyone that has taken Ochem found a great way to remember the mechanism and products? Or just what worked best for you? I'm going to try to understand the underlying mechanisms and what not, but I was wondering if there was some trick or something to make it easier where I didn't spend my entire next two weekends face deep in the text book.

TL;DR, tricks to learn first semester organic chem reactions?
