I would have to disagree with your vide that Joker is pure nihilism. At least, the 2019 Joker was not. It was about man who struggles to make something out of himself, but fails to do so. Sounds a lot like the Overcoat to me.

I failed to notice any nihilism in the move. One he fails at life, Arthur Fleck turns to nihilism.

No doubt, it is one of the greatest works in the history of humanity. I have no doubt about this. It is extremely simple and very short, yes, but it is so full of meaning, I cannot think of a novel more profound. I agree that "Notes from Underground" is in some aspects superior, in particular when describing the character's internal state, but overall, the Overcoat is far greater. The author does not directly describe the character's internal state, true, the the beautiful way in which Gogol described the environment, "cockroaches scurrying around" it perfectly describes the character's mental state. All in all, a superb story of a man's struggle to become someone better, but who doesn't succeed, the Failed Hero.

It goes perfectly with the movie Joker.

Anyone here know this dude? What I understand of his lyrics/poetry/politics and about his life is pretty interesting, although I don't actually speak The France. Little is written about him for English-speaking audiences.

If I read it all in one go, I;d say about 500 pages in 3-5 hours, but since I read it in small bits, around a month.

We need some PJ / HoO threads, PJ / HoO memes, and Jupiter / Halfblood fights. Make s0me d00ds. I personally am on team Halfblood.

Percy Jackson series, and the Heroes of Olympus series ( Sequel to PJ ). It's about demigods who also have ADHD, and they usually have Dyslexia. Can be funny, some fight scenes, greek mythology stuff. Hope you like it if you buy it.
