I liked the climax, hated the use of the characters though.

Ghost story was worse in my opinion. (I actually liked cold days besides the tweest)

You can always read the codex alera if you're in the mood for something butchery and different.

I enjoyed them.

Wanna read something weird that got an award read "The dragon masters" a hugo winner.

Also gauging old sci fi based on awards is a terrible choice as a ton of awesome books never even got noticed for awards.

So uber slowpoke here but it looks like the martian saga is going to be getting film.

How does this make you all feel? I for one am unsure if they can pull it off with a book thats 98 give or take years old.

I marathoned the sequels so it was like reading one book which was a really awesome reinvention then an odd book about autistic chinses girls, and then a book about space magic and fucking.

If I wasn't such a pulp book fan I don't think I could have enjoyed it as much as I did.

But I own over a 100 "The Destroyer" novels so my taste is obvious.

Which ending to great expectations did you like more?

Too those who read the book without knowing it there is a second ending from when it was published as a newspaper serial that you should look up.

Sci-fi and romance never mesh well to begin with though.

Remember Asimov's attempts?
