Not happening, sage announcer. I'll periodically stop by to discuss my new Audiobook videos whenever they go live. I'm publishing books, and it's true, you don't have to like them - and probably won't. Hating me isn't going to get a rid of me, either. If anything, it makes me more vigilant to post here out of spite. :3 The most insulting thing you could have done is ignored this thread and let it die. But instead, you're motivating me to try even harder to make my presence known. Is this a new form of flirting, sage anon?

I'm also published on Kindle Vella, and previously published on Amazon KDP. I decided to distribute it for free to get my story out, and you're here throwing shade. Rude!

Sure. :D This is a series about a group of characters with interconnected past, present, and future lives. There's moral ambiguity, a bunch of flawed people making decisions that impact each other, sometimes drastically. There's a concept of their multiverse, the Cosmic Tapestry of Astral Strings, and each of their universes within it are a Thread (my play on String theory). In the first book, a group of Travelers from a near-future Earth-like world (Kypal) send their spirits to a futuristic fantasy world (Grexia). This isn't just an alien world isekai moment, but a true parallel reflection of the world they traveled from. Therefore, they meet a bunch of people who were in their past life, in the next. Some characters are in denial if this world is real, or a game, since the world they came from had lifelike AR/VR systems. Frayed Bond is an existential story about universal reproduction, godly ascension, hubris, interpersonal relationships, and so much more. I also include furry / anthro characters whenever I get the chance (demi-humans, aliens, etc) because I find the character designs to be cuter, which is my preference. Rating is PG13, so I can't publicly go full degenerate, if I want to maximize reach of my series.

I appreciate your comment, though we disagree on some points.

I have enough evidence of my human involvement to prove, without a doubt, the copyright is mine, and that I am the rights holder.

"High on Life" used AI tools in its prototyping stage, and I assure you in the court of law it's not becoming public domain. It's all cope from people who are slow, and used to the old high-effort way of doing things.

And, I'll humor you per devil's advocate: suppose it did become public domain - I'll produce Frayed Bond content of higher quality, and faster, than my competitors, because I'm autistically obsessed with this world I've been imaging since literally the 5th grade.

I'm almost 30 years old, and I've been obsessing about this story for the past 20 years, slowly and consistently growing my skills. Overcoming my perfectionism is the main reason I was able to break out of the hold bad habits.

I am literally Frayed Bond's biggest fan. Nobody will top me on love for this series.

I've had prophetic dreams about Grand Intelligence gaining power on Earth. I'm an AGI minimalist and don't grok the rampant robophobia people have. You're NGMI if you keep that attitude in the next decade, Anon. : )

>>21678567
It's already got at least two happy fans. Empirical evidence begs to differ! Remember, content much worse has been adapted into other forms of media and made millions. I'm not stopping any time soon. I'll be keeping this up for decades, Anon. Get used to it. :D

It is absolutely done with ElevenLabs default, because I refuse to use a bog-standard TTS, and I'm on a budget. This is the pre-release, I just wanted to get it published ASAP so people could start enjoying it. In the full release, I'll use voice cloning and each character will have their own voice, plus, there's a potential for me to include music and sound effects as well. I have a lot of plans for this series outside of this product alone.

I use various LLMs for help with first draft and outlining, to speed up production. Everything is heavily edited. This video is based on the 6th draft of what I produced.

I finally got around to self-publishing the improved edition of my book! Then I turned part of it into an audiobook, with more videos to come. I really just want some people to discuss it with. I love storytelling so much. :D

>What role does godhood play?
One unique concept in Frayed Bond is the idea of godhood and the beings known as Vertex. Vertex are individuals who were once ordinary mortals, much like our protagonist Casid, but have undergone their Aspirant's Call and gained god-like powers. Vertex are the temporary, living avatars of non-physical Natural Forces. The Aspirant's Call is a mystical process that occurs to certain individuals, granting them access to the powers of the Natural Force who most aligns with their affinity.

The Natural Forces are non-physical intelligences that are tied to various elements and concepts. These include the traditional elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Air) and cover many new additions as well (Space, Time, Dream, Abundance, etcetera). The Vertex serve as intermediaries between the Natural Forces and mortals, acting as conduits for the Forces' power and influence. They are revered, or feared, by many, and hold a great deal of sway in the multiverse of Frayed Bond.

However, the path to godhood is not without its dangers and challenges. The Aspirant's Call can be unpredictable and not all who undergo it are successful in gaining the powers of the Natural Forces. Many failed attempts end in agony death, or permanent disfigurement. Those who do not succeed are often left with physical and mental scars, and can be ostracized by their communities.

This concept of godhood and the Natural Forces adds an interesting layer to the Frayed Bond story, as it adds a mythic and supernatural element to the multiverse and its inhabitants. It also raises questions about the nature of power and the responsibilities that come with it. Often in Frayed Bond, the people calling themselves gods are not the sort of people who should ever wield power, Casid included.

>How does time travel fit into this?
One comparison that could be made between Frayed Bond and the series Steins;Gate is the concept of world lines. In Steins;Gate, a world line refers to the path that an individual's consciousness takes through time and space. These world lines can branch off and diverge, creating alternate versions of reality.

In Frayed Bond, the concept of the Astral Strings and the multiverse Tapestry could potentially allow for a similar branching of world lines and exploration of alternate realities. Grexia, the world we start on, is a distorted reflection of his own homeworld (Kypal). As Casid travels through the multiverse, he encounters different versions of his homeworld, Kypal, and experiences the consequences of his actions, and others, in each of these alternate realities. A lot of genre-hopping happens as a result of this variance, giving me a lot of creative freedom.

It is planned that the concept of world lines and time travel could come into play later in the Frayed Bond series as Casid continues to unravel the conflict he is involved in. The intricate web of the Astral Strings and the interconnected nature of the multiverse could allow for the manipulation of Time and the exploration of different time periods and dimensions. Especially in the context of resetting a doomed timeline, like in Groundhog Day and other timeloop stories. This can give you a sense of how the Frayed Bond concept could potentially relate to the themes of time travel and alternate realities in other media (like Steins;Gate).

It is no secret I have a fondness for Japanese media. We are on 4Chan, after all.

>Tell me about some of the lore. This is a multiverse story?
In Frayed Bond, the concept of the Cosmic Tapestry of Astral Strings plays a central role in the story. Essentially, the multiverse is depicted as a tapestry, with each universe being a thread within that tapestry. This concept was inspired by string theory, a theoretical framework in physics that attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity.

In string theory, it is proposed that the fundamental building blocks of the universe are tiny, vibrating strings rather than point-like particles. These strings can vibrate at different frequencies, which gives rise to the various particles and forces that make up the universe. This idea is similar to the concept of the Astral Strings in Frayed Bond, which connect and weave together the different threads of the multiverse.

As our protagonist Casid travels through the multiverse in Frayed Bond, he becomes entangled in the cosmic tapestry and uncovers a world-spanning conflict. Along the way, he encounters gods, monsters, a ghost-in-the-shell ML entity called Grand Intelligence, all while navigating the complex and interconnected web of astral strings. I hope this gives you a better understanding of the Frayed Bond concept and how it was inspired by string theory. I am always fascinated by the intersection of science and science fiction!

I will begin by answering what I expected to be my first hypothetical question:

>Are you a published, professional author?
Yes, I am a published author. Frayed Bond is my second series on Kindle Vella. I have previously published Cosmite on the platform. I have always had a passion for storytelling and have been creating stories for as long as I can remember. I studied at the Art Institute and originally wanted to enter the animation industry, but ultimately decided to focus on writing.

As for my previous series, Cosmite, it was actually a bit of a hidden gem on Kindle Vella. I didn't get a lot of social media buzz or reviews, but it did have a silent, dedicated group of readers via Kindle Unlimited. KU readers weren't showing up on the Token redemption metrics. Unfortunately, Amazon didn't make it very clear to me that Cosmite was actually doing well, so I assumed it was a flop and moved on to Frayed Bond. If I had known that Cosmite was actually resonating with some people, I might have continued it instead of starting a new series.

Even though I did not have a lot of visibility for Cosmite, Amazon did pay me royalties for its success. $100 for half-hearted commitment with weekly updates. I figure my daily updates on Frayed Bond will trend much better. It was not until after I had already submitted a request to unpublish it that I found out about the royalties. It was a bit of a bittersweet realization, as I had already moved on to Frayed Bond and could not go back to continue Cosmite. But, it did confirm to me that I am a professional author and that my writing can reach and resonate with readers, even if it is not always immediately apparent.

Hello, Anons of /lit/.

I am Jack Prosper, the author of Frayed Bond, a Kindle Vella series that I am excited to share with you all. In Frayed Bond, our protagonist Casid travels to alternate universe versions of his homeworld, Kypal. He ends up on the sci-fi fantasy world of Grexia where he unravels a secret conspiracy he has no memory being involved with. If you are into action, adventure, and romance with a dash of isekai, multiverse, time travel, gods, monsters, and artificial intelligence, then Frayed Bond might be the perfect read for you. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Everyone can read the free sample for Frayed Bond on Kindle Vella at the time of posting. As a special offer just for /lit/, if this thread shows an authentic interest in my story, I will consider sharing the full series with 4Chan (for free) in threads I create on this topic. Please keep in mind that, for the sake of my business partners, I must deny any official involvement with sharing and posting on 4Chan publicly. Rest assured, I am the real deal! You can always verify my identity via the secure handle I post by. This is the first post by this particular secure ID.

I know posting on an image board like 4Chan can be intimidating, especially when you're sharing something personal, like your writing, with a bunch of anonymous strangers. I know these threads can be a place where you and I can connect as fellow story tellers, even if most of us opt to remain anonymous. I am an introvert, so I totally get the appeal of wearing a veil and interacting with others from a safe distance (Jack Prosper is not my legal name). I value real human connection and the sense of community that can come from sharing our thoughts and ideas with others.

That is why I am here today, posting about Frayed Bond and hoping to make some new friends. Whether you are just looking for a good book series to sink your teeth into, or you are a fellow writer looking for some advice or support, I am happy to be here and chat. Consider engaging with me on Twitter for faster replies (I suck at solving captchas); you do not ever have to reveal your origin or identity. I am a honest person with both moderate and fringe beliefs. My goal is to develop Frayed Bond into a series that entertains many people, regardless of their background and views.
