to everyone in this thread: Please read. Please read shopenhauer. I use lit once a week because it gets more and more frustrating to read those replys filled with bullshit fueled by ignorance of people who never took deliberate effort to read and understand. I beg you: start reading more.

what's interesting is that menopause, or the lack of progesterone increases women's ability for 3D thinking and rotations.

I want to enter a writing contest with has the topic: "dark". Im allowed to submit up to 3 short stories of a length of 3-5 pages.

My Problem is that evrytime i start writing dought is creeping up in my head saying that my idea is shit. Then i start writing a on a new idea and the circle continues leaving me with text stumps. I also dont like my prose but thats on another page. Im new to writing prose and only written one short story for the pleasure of it.
How do i stop these thoughts? How do i gain confindence in my ideas?

because people wouldnt understand. I only know Harris on free will and its painful seeing the "arguments" of the opposition.
Dennet seems interesting although desu im sceptical of compatibalism. I watched a compatibalist on Joe Rogan who argued that believing in free will is convenient(!) therefore we should say it exist.

Not him nor american(german). All this people are easily recognised by any educated german. Although Semmelweiss overshadows them all. Noone in germany knows nightinggale for example. The only Nightingale i know is a motivation coach called Earl.

Build a birdhouse or an ant farm. Or even better build a house at a lake. I dont know you but presupposing you are tempremantally similar to me, i would recommed physical labor. Try creating something with your hands instead of your mind.

you dont decide what your passion. You either try and try anything under the sun for a sufficient amount of time or you realise that you actually dont have a passion. To be honest, i feel like most people use the word passion wrongly and overly often. It became the a new buzzword that means absolut nothing. People with a passion are obessed with their particular focus of interest. If they werent succesful at what they do you would call it addiction. Socrates had a passion and died for his. Guys deciding to live off the grid live out their passion. Progamers dedicating all their waking hours to the game are passionated.
Most dont have a passion. Uninstall/delete all your socialmedia(accounts). you are blinded by the overly positive but plastic internet world. your perception is warped. Try to see behind the facade and you will realise that passion is a contentless adjective. Most peple only have interest and things they like. 90% dont have a passion and you are probably one of them.

> I want to leave something to the world after I'm dead, I really do.
you wont. Sorry dude. You are maybe above avarage but thats all. You are a fading light in comparison to the almost omnipotent, virilious genius mind blinding striking you like lighting. I met geniuses, and i met people who are now in their twenties but im sure they will become world leaders. Believe me, those people are just different. Its like they made of different fibre that radiates "geniusness".

I had the same issues as you; this video made me cry a bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmIUvp0e1bw

Way to B:
22+12=c2
4+1=c2
5=c2

way to your point:
22+0.52=c2
4+0.25=c2
sqrt(4.25)=2.12

try reading about compatibalism. its bullshit though
>>15039228
how is compatibalism less absurd. its simply wishful thinking. read william james "the dilemma of determinism". his argument: hard determinism leads to pessimism therefore hard determinism doesnt exist.
