Suffered with this need to keep updated for a long time too; read Epictetus' discourses, and completely closed the windows to the happenings of the world.

So in this case, yes, stoic texts will help.

Honestly? Get over yourself. This jealousy and annoyance towards other writers is some inferiority complex shit; recognize their art as foundational to what you supposedly want to do (I'd argue you want to be a writer for the sake of being a writer, and not because you're a hopeless wordcel like most great writers were), and then submerge yourself into the centuries of literature that defines what being a writer is

Insufferable faggotry on your side mate. God forbid a chick enjoys reading; if you really cared for philosophy, you'd be happy that someone is slowly getting their grounding in the basics, instead of trying to flex on a CHICK that you read this and that philosopher

Legs are at least nice in their form, versus smelly feet that sweat, get dirty, with nails; fucking disgusting, a man of any sense would always pic legs over feet

Experiencing some kind of early 20s despair, blasted my way through a bunch of existentialist literature etc to no avail.

Don't have a job and don't particularly need one financially, got a nice girl, we have a good time but struggle to find a reason to get out of bed in the morning except to research a book I'm working on.

Anyone got a suggestion for starter Buddhism texts? I'm a Dr. K fag, that's as far as my Buddhism knowledge goes.

Yeah I know a couple people who do this. Best example I got is this pseudo intellectual bitch who claims she read Kierkegaard, N, Hegel etc, she a micro influencer type shit from a small island I'm from, and she posts all the time about how N made her a nihilist and her fundamental view is nihilism cause of him, that Kierkegaard SOMEHOW made her realize that life is pointless and there's no solution lmao. I'd say I've met maybe 10 or so people since high school and through uni that have referred to reading N and come to the conclusion that he's a nihilist and all the typical "muh god is dead".

The name because I don't want to be an anon who can say whatever he wants behind anonymity ; if I'm wrong about something on this board, I'd like to own it :)

Interpretation of Dreams is the best starting point. I wasn't interested in dreams whatsoever yet the book captivated the shit out of me, breezed through it. After that you can pick which aspects of the book you enjoyed, and pursue those further with different writings.
Beyond the Pleasure Principle is the next natural stepping stone though as anon above said.

Cause he's accessible. You don't need brainpower to read him like reading Hegel, most brainlets can get through an N book, and so they do, and then they're happy about it.

That isn't saying he's basic, his writing is good. Just accessible, and fags pride themselves on being able to read anything perceived as even slightly intellectual. This point is proved over and over by people saying they're nihilists cause of N, immediately proving they have not read N.

PS- anyone who recommends starting with birth of tragedy is an actual retard, since this is a book that N himself said is lacking and should be disregarded as immature thought

Twilight of the idols
Antichrist
Human, all too human
Daybreak
Gay Science
Beyond good and evil
Genealogy
Zarathustra

Read in this order. You start with an "overview" of sorts with twilight, then continue and see those thoughts get developed, and once you digest the first five books on the list, you can dive into the larger works having a good foundation of what N thought about a bit of everything.
