Well, nope. It toroughly deconstructs pretty much everything connected with fantasy.
You want elves living in forests? Here you are, they are backwards, nearly killed off, and most of elvish population lives in cities as slaves to humans.
You want dwarves in their mountains? Expect unbelievably strict caste system, strict moral code and generally strict everything.
The same goes to mages, kings, demons, magic and other whatnots.
