Just watching a Michael Sugrue about Luther. Are there any books in particular that go over the immediate events/debates of Luther's nailing thesis to the door?

They're both bad, sorry anon. I think you've been reading too much genre fiction and now your writing is tedious genre fiction. The chat GPT merely adds a new clunkiness of inappropriate verbosity, as in the word selection no longer matches the literary purpose and intended effect, and the narrative voice, and the agents and subjects of the sentences, becomes muddled.

> byzantine Catholics
The ones who still hold to the essence/energies distinction (a Catholic heresy for centuries) and still venerate post-schism, anti Rome Orthodox saints like St. Gregory Palamas?

Or are you thinking of the Syrio-Malabar Catholics, who are in communion with you despite venerating Mar Nestorius as a Saint?

Contradicting yourselves openly for purely political purposes (getting the most people to kneel to Rome as possible, theology be damned) can't be hand-waved as "having options".

>how should a publisher make money through ebooks then, if it is so unprofitable?
in the long term the best move for publishers would be to build their own subscription apps and cut Amazon et al. out of the deal. the film industry is already doing this (disney+, peacock, hbo, and so on). then publishers could set their own terms with libraries and consumers, and presumably raise prices.

>Do you think that ebooks should start containing advertisements?
iirc the lower tier kindle subscriptions already do this, but all the ad money goes to Amazon. we'll probably see more ads regardless desu.

I saw the movie first and liked it, then i read the book and now the movie feels so inferior. The whole telepathy aspect is so neglected in the movie. As well as the alien becomine humanized cause of Jonesy's consciousness persisting.

So you admit that Buddhism is inherently nihilistic? And if this is the case what's the point of ending suffering instead of just existing in samsara forever?
Also how is there a self that can exist samsare, since the self doesn't exist?

The Sabbasava Sutta (Majjhima Nikaya 2[15]) also mentions 16 questions which are seen as "unwise reflection" and lead to attachment to views relating to a self.

What am I?
How am I?
Am I?
Am I not?
Did I exist in the past?
Did I not exist in the past?
What was I in the past?
How was I in the past?
Having been what, did I become what in the past?
Shall I exist in future?
Shall I not exist in future?
What shall I be in future?
How shall I be in future?
Having been what, shall I become what in future?
Whence came this person?
Whither will he go?

The Buddha states that it is unwise to be attached to both views of having and perceiving a self and views about not having a self. Any view which sees the self as "permanent, stable, everlasting, unchanging, remaining the same for ever and ever" is "becoming enmeshed in views, a jungle of views, a wilderness of views; scuffling in views, the agitation (struggle) of views, the fetter of views."

I think that having to help people that have no respect for you and hate you is a retarded idea. Giving based off of needs instead of what is earned is dumb as fuck too. It is how you get the illegal immigrant crisis America and Europe is having.

Good point, but the question arises of how should a publisher make money through ebooks then, if it is so unprofitable? Since it is not likely to go away. There are lots of i dustries which seem to profit from total overall views, through advertising and so on. Do you think that ebooks should start containing advertisements?
