I have an essay to write on the differences between the Olympian deities and the Yoruba Orisha and frankly I'm at my wits end as there are no books/sources on Yoruba deities that I can find. Anyone care to help me with suggestions?

Simple: they don't have to think or reason - it becomes a matter of "can't argue it == ATTACK IT!".

"But discussing literature is a personally edifying thing!," he shouted at the top of his lungs before imploding at the Snickers complex in outer space. He was the only victim of his attack, as usual.

He was a loner. Not because he was a-lone -- it seems to me he was always with people -- but because he wasn't understood.

You wouldn't understand, because he didn't want to be understood. Nobody understood his life, or his death. The only person privy to those Snicker-y in-jokes was him.

Whenever I see people falling prey to that caramel and chocolate goodness, I'm for some reason reminded of his tragedy.

English mainly

My German's rusty, but I'm working my way through Kafka's Verwandlung and plan to move onto Also Sprach Zarathustra

I finished the entirety of Pimsleur's French and picked up L'Étranger, but I get stopped at least by 30% of the words. I hope to read it by the end of the year.

I have Anki setup on my computer, and I plan to go and get a English-French dictionary soon.

I really like the recursiveness of Kaufman's movies:
Being John Malkovich - Mind within another mind
Adaptation - story about writing the script of the story
Synecdoche, New York - Guy puts his life on stage to the point that he and everyone he knows 'acts' out the rest of their lives

is there anything with this kind of quality in literature?

HISHE:
"and thus Harry died peacefully at an old age, with neither him nor any of his children ever challenging Voldemort in battle. Voldemort would wait another century before rising again, his fury hotter and more destructive than ever. That is a story for another time. THE END"

FANTASTIC ENDING TO A DECADE LONG SERIES ISN'T IT? REALLY FUCKING SATISFYING

I had to use it for school in Germany all the time, and whenever I tried to get any speed in it it really quickly goes muddy. I really haven't used it since, but maybe you want to try your hand with handywrite

so, now I'm an excellent writer...but I have no money for Food/Rent? Wtf kind of djinn is this?
Besides, as a pirate I already have unlimited books. The money can only give me decoration.

I use google dictionary for websites (it translatens foreign phrases too!):

I sometimes keep a pen and paper handy when I'm reading a book in a language I'm not particularly familiar with, and I guess I'd write it down from a complex English book.

I bought a Kobo from Walmart for C$99 2 weeks ago, and I have to say I'm really happy with it. You should buy it, there has to be a 30 days electronics return policy, then see if it's right for you, which I'm 99% sure it is.
I was using it today and kind of got bored with the book I was reading, then switched to a different book, while riding the bus. I say, this wouldn't have been possible without schlepping several pounds worth of books through town.
