I am very much aware of the laughable translations Google Translate is responsible for here, but I am also confident you will be able to comprehend the main aspects of the task.

If not, I'll be happy to translate specific parts if anything is unclear.

Competence:

Written communication:
• read and analyze texts in the Norwegian language in various genres and make up their minds by the texts, and the values they represent
• writing texts with clear purpose and good structure and coherence
• express themselves with a varied vocabulary and master linguistic form requirements
• write creative, informative and persuasive texts, Thesis, literary interpretations, discussions and other resonating texts on main and regional languages

Language, Literature and Culture
• read a sample of Norwegian and some European texts from the Middle Ages and even romance, put them in a cultural context and comment form and content
• refer to and consider sources
• Compare telling ways and values in a range of contemporary texts telling ways and values in myths and folk poetry

Write a text where you explains and discusses courtly and not seemly behavior in the literature and today. Here you should refer to examples from Tristan and Isolde and texts of our times. You can also draw in other texts that we have read or that you think is usable.

You can determine the scope and outline the sequence of points, but the answer will show the Norwegian professional expertise by
• Writing a coherent text with introduction, body and conclusion without subheads
• Demonstrate that you have read and understood the key texts in literature
• Discuss courtly behavior in texts we have worked with
Comment:
The text of recent times is secondary. That means it is intended as a basis for comparison. You will primarily write about courtly behavior in medieval literature.

Well, hello there.

This might not be the most active board, I wouldn't know. First time actually posting anything here.

I am very interested, however, specifically in the philosophers of the past;
>Hume
>Kant
>Hegel
>Nietzsche
>Locke
>Kierkegaard
>Descartes

You get my drift, it's not important.

To the actual matter at hand; I would very much appreciate some insight, /lit/anons.

I have a project at uni, it's not a massive project, it's an essay, due in three hours. While I would never ask you to do the essay for me, opinions on these matters are always appreciated, so;

Write an essay about 'Courtly Literature', specifically in Scandinavia. Debate the influence this particular genre of literature has had on present day literature. Over the last couple of weeks, we've been reading from Norse Verses, creation myths, and stories. We've watched two movies, 'Beowulf' and 'Tristan and Isolde'. We've also read a few minor texts from the same period.

Given my laziness, and the fact that I'm not a native English Speaker, I will quickly translate the main goa lof this essay in GTranslate and post it below the introduction.

Any comments are very much appreciated.
Thank you.

No thing can be all good or all bad all the time. Men and women and life are no different.
The 'meaning of life' notion comes about after you've had a lot of Good Times.
Sort of like the question of what you'll talk about next during a lull in conversation or the wondering of what you and a friend will be doing after returning from a party.

I owe three hundred dollars in library fees so I don't go there very often, but I own more books I haven't read than books I have read - so I think I'll go through those and wait out the library, see what happens, see who buckles first.

Mojo's has got a real pleasant atmosphere and a friendly staff which does well for a bookstore.
That OTBC doesn't have these qualities makes for a very unwelcoming experience - can't walk in without feeling like I'm intruding upon something of significance. I know what you mean. That's why I stopped going to Sound Exchange.
Haven't checked out Inkwood.

Haslam's has got the cats and that's that really, but it's so goddamned far.

Got a friend that lives around Temple Terrace and we walked to one called the Cosmic Book Center over on 301 out near the overpass. Mostly astral/psychedelic literature I guess, but the owner-a sweet old woman in a wheelchair-gave my friend and I some incense so I feel obligated to mention it.

I'd bet we've crossed paths.
