/lit/ - Literature

my to-read pile is anywhere from five minimum to however many else i steal from the mega-corp bookstore in town.
it's never empty and expands weekly since whenever i stop in for coffee i'll grab one or two MORE books that catch my attention or i've been meaning to get.
also, a good 80% of my selections come from lit.

just finished the first three chapters and the dialouge is the same across the board for every character. even the eleven year old is long winded.
pretty spooky so far though.

I recently purchased penguin's new collection of book cover art (gorgeoussss, loving the great modern artists bid to redesign some of these classics) and there was a really stunning review of his book 'White Noise'.

i rarely buy books unless it's something too large to fit in my bag.
most of my library was/is stolen from the ONE bookstore in town.

i was dissapointed with the gum thief

that scene always makes me sick to my stomach and my skin crawl

something thin like breakfast of champs will take me 1-2 hours.
broom of the system and hundred years of solitude took me four and five respectively (because i got all switched around with the arcadio family-line renaming shit)
but bigger works will usually take me 4-5 days, aka 2666 and against the day.
