It's going to be either #bookz or the usual torrent sites.

Through the use of internet magic, using a highly secretive website called "google", I entered in these words "sharper image literati pdf". To my surprise, the very first result returned was this website.

http://www.the-ebook-reader.com/literati-review.html

Which had this to say on PDF's and the device.

"For PDF files there are different viewing options than with EPUB and TXT ebooks. PDFs don't have adjustable text sizes, instead there are 6 different levels of zoom, from 100% to 200% in increments of 25, with a full page option as well.

Once zoomed in, you use the navigation wheel to pan around the page. There's also an option to view the PDF in landscape mode. There is no reflow mode or hyperlink support.

The same as with ebooks, there is a table of contents, options to jump between the next and previous chapters, and a dictionary to type in words to be looked-up.

Overall, PDF support isn't anything to write home about, but it is better than I expected it to be. The device seems to naturally cut away large margins so the text fits to the edges. In default whole page view, the text is generally more legible than with 6-inch ereaders like the Kindle 3 and Sony PRS-650."

PS: Do not tell anyone about my use of internet magic or of the site "google".

Google books has it up and it is searchable.

Well it's finished, is it good? No. But it will be graded and I have a very high average in the class.

2 big glasses of scotch helped.

My teacher is so old school I had to double space after each sentence. Frustrating.

I have a 5 page 'research' paper due tomorrow at 8am, it's all laid out for me. The teacher gave us no room for any creativity, and told us our topic, and outline, and sources, and every section of the paper. Also how long each section should be.

It is incredibly boring, but it has to be done. I have a page and a half done, but it's so grueling to me.

What are some things you do to write when you just don't care? If it was free reign, I would have enjoyed it and it would have been done a long time ago.

I'm thinking alcohol and a quiet room, anything else? Any mental tricks to keep the focus going?

/lit/ might not be seeding, but Demonoid people will. I will upload to mediafire/megaupload as well as the the file shouldn't end up being to big.

I keep getting asked when it will go up, and it's not really an archive, more of a collection. It won't have every piece of philosophy ever written. The time depends on a lot of factors, my free time during finals, the ease of converting/editing/linking the works. When I hit Metaphysics, for example, that was a huge roadbump due to terrible initial formating.

2 weeks with perfect condition, a month and a half at the latest. The list I currently have is pretty large. Thats why I've been giving out the ones that are harder to find or don't exist in e-book form yet, I don't have a solid ETA as to when it will all be done.

Ah! Well the founders of the prc/mobi format do have a reader for the PC that is free

http://www.mobipocket.com/en/downloadsoft/default.asp?Language=EN

I use it myself to check things or sneak a peak at how the formating is going before I send it to my Kindle.

Sure is amazonmadfag in here.

The truth is the Kindle 3 is /lit/'s choice, and recommendation in every single e-book reader thread.

There are a few things that set them apart, but the Kindle 3 is the way to go for price and quality.

I broke mine and told them I broke it. They sent me a replacement asap for free 1 day shipping, and just asked I send the other one back, with a prepaid label from them, within a month.

Pretty awesome imo.

Here is another great and hard to find work by Ludwig Feuerbach, edited, formated, and has a full table of contents for each section, chapter, and notes.

This is one of my personal favorites, really interesting stuff on prayer and the trinity doctrine in here.

Grab it if you are even a little bit interested in Philosophy!

I'm sorry, I don't know, my main purpose was to format them for e-book readers. I know some cel phones natively support .prc.

Thats the sad thing, it has not even been typed yet. I have an outline and all my sources, but with thanksgiving and my wanting to finish Metaphysics well...

I have to write it tonight, it's due Tuesday... if I deem it respectable I'll up it! haha.

I might, but I've never been a fan of my own writing!

>> No.1313115 [View]

Also, I'm only releasing the ones that I've had to make into proper e-book format, any of the others in the list that are easy to find I do not release, just figured these should be out there in the mean time.

Well, this is the end of my Thanksgiving break, I've been working on it all break, but next week is tests then finals. I have a 7 page research paper on Swift due Tuesday, if I get all of it done in time and my studying for my health related classes,....

Ok rant off, It might be 2 weeks, or 3, or 4, depending on if I can find most of the works in a format thats easier to convert than this one was.

So many factors, but I do enjoy doing this, so I will be working on it as much as possible.

Here it is! It took for freaking ever to format, link, and clean up. To my knowledge it is the only free properly formated translation of Metaphysics for e-readers!

It is in .prc format, which is read natively by Kindles, it can be converted to other formats with Calibre, of course.

I opted to include every part of every book in the table of contents for ease of use, so yes, there are a few pages of contents, but I didn't think anyone would complain.

Enjoy it!
