Eh, you'd have to write about 6000 worts a day. Harlan Ellison was known to write 3000 word stories in a single evening and get them published the next day.

But Harlan Ellison is easily one of the most talented Jewish men alive. You're just some guy who browses /lit/.

So right now my reading is fulfilled by the /lit/ book club (I'm reading all three things), but when this week is over, what should I do:
Reread Dune and start reading the sequels
or
start A Song of Ice and Fire

Courage Wolf is a tripbro on /lit/. He started a book club. If you want to participate, read Lolita, A Scanner Darkly, or The Pit and the Pendulum (or all 3 if you're a badass like me) by Sunday.

I haven't started Lolita yet, but I'm on page 14 of A Scanner Darkly. I hope to finish it by Thursday night and then start on Lolita.

I'll probably read the Pit and the Pendulum Sunday morning.

Sure am glad I started that thread reminding Courage Wolf to start the fucking book club ;D

I'll try to read all 3. Kinda tough because I'm reading a genre book of my own right now, but I should finish it quickly and then just finish A Scanner Darkly in a day or so.

I am reading the following:

Lord of the Rings by Tolkien;
Dying of the Light by George RR Martin;
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison (just finished World of the Myth, going to read Lonelyache tomorrow).

After I finish Dying of the Light, I will start on The Queen of Elfland's Daughter.

After I finish LOTR, I will start on A Song of Ice and Fire.

After I finish I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, I will probably start reading some Conan stories.

Is The Encyclopedia of Fantasy by Clue & Grant worth picking up if you're a fantasy fan?

Same thing goes for The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction.
