Hey guys. Glad to see you're still going.

Something like that was done for the 4th issue. No one used it.

Was intentional, actually, since that's the way I read it.

Forum is entirely anonymous. You can't register if you want to. It will be serving as a temporary measure until we can get a proper comment system set up.

I've made a lite version of issue for which is at a fraction of the size of the original. There is also some artwork which is not in the original.

In addition, you will notice that at the end of each story and poem, there is a link to a discussion page dedicated to it. This is on a forum, but you do not need to register to post - just hit reply and you can post as a guest. We are still working on getting a comment system set up on our site. Try to be critical! Please don't just say that you like or hate it, but give specific reasons why.

1.) Sorry if something was changed without your consent. I've no idea if it was done intentionally or not.
2.) We've been needing help, and I don't know why we would 'brush you off'. We've had a several people offer their help, but only 2 have actually done any work (thank you Ian and Friday!) I'm looking through your emails, and never saw anything about asking to help. Could you email us about it, to confirm that it is actually you? We'll send you some stuff to edit next time around.

As far as editing the general look of the next issue, the best way to influence that is to hang in the irc channel. That is where we make most of the decisions regarding how stuff is done. You can harass us in real time about what we're doing wrong c:

Yea, we honestly just weren't sure how to go about adding page numbers. Probably should have realized it wasn't worth it, especially since no one is going to be printing a full-color issue. When we release the full thing, we'll have the white bars taken out.

Maybe when we're all working on inDesign, it will be possible to do them with it looking so terrible.

Just would like to point out that it is actually part of a 54 page epic poem, and that it is in my top two favorites this time around. If you would like to read the rest of it ahead of time, I believe Adam has it on his website - look in the table of contents, it is listed there.

We were planning to release a text version alongside, but time issues didn't permit this time (finals). We will release a text version in the future. Heard about the situation Aussies are in.
No comments on lack of text justification? Unexpected

I really liked the idea of coming up with a general graphic design style for the whole thing. It would relieve a good bit of the load, and we wouldn't have the sharp contrast between graphically designed stories and plaintext.

Perhaps what we will do is have a general style for the whole issue, and for the ones we can manage we will have a custom design done.

I would like more thoughts on this. Do you guys like the new look? Because I'll be honest, it is a major pain getting it done, and is the only reason that we are releasing late/haven't finished yet.

Do you guys like the more graphic, 'magazine', look or do you think that a plain text design would look just as good?

We're building a comment system on our site, but it won't be ready until issue 5. Until then, we're going to be using a forum that allows anonymous posting here

http://thezwg.proboards.com/

Registrations have been deactivated, forcing people to post as 'Guest'. We're planning on creating a thread for each submission on the forum, and to link to that thread at the end of each poem/story, asking for feedback and criticism.
In the future, we will be doing the same thing except with an anonymous commenting system on our site.

One more thing I did want to mention
We would really like to get reviews for the next issue. If you have the time, read through a story from the last issue and write down a paragraph or two on its major weaknesses. Try to avoid simply praising; it just not very helpful for writers, though pointing out specific things that makes it strong can be helpful. Send these to the zine g-mail and specify how/if you would like to be credited, and we'll add them to the review section for next time.

He hasn't really been dealing out too much misinformation. I guess to build trust as a troll..? I don't really get it.

The 4th, next issue, is full. We're currently working on filling the 5th. We have about 20 submissions in the 5th so far, so by the time the 4th is released it will probably be full.
No major changes have really been implemented. We're working on making it a lot prettier, with the help of MisterMonkeyMan and other artists/graphic designers. We've discussed it, and are considering becoming _slightly_ more selective, but nothing major. We kind of like having at least a month of buffer, so we can work on things in advance.

Pretty much this.
But since I can't really do anything to make Philospher-chan go away, I guess I'll just sit over here and read comments. Thanks for the free advertisement, I suppose.

Note: The 'ZWG Chief Editor' is a butthurt troll that usually goes by the name of Philospher-chan [sic]. He is attempting to fill the role of '/lit/'s resident troll'.

This includes the name 'ZWG Editor in Chief'

Although we're not planning on taking reviews from posts due to the copyright issues mentioned before, I would like to point out that this person is not actually part of ZWG. What he says should not be trusted.

Although I appreciate the creativity in trolling, knock it off.
OP is philosopher-chan, the wannabe resident /lit/ troll. Though I'm pretty sure everyone knows that already.
Any suggestions for improvements to the zine are very welcome, just recognize that we have no 'chief editor'.
