I don't read many comic books, but the last few that I enjoyed were Ultimate X-Men and Civil War.

I really really enjoyed JPod. I plan on reading Microserfs although I heard JPod was just an updated Microserfs. I'd suggest you read All Families are Psychotic, and watch the movie Everything's Gone Green.

Jpod was also adapted into a television series. It only aired for one season but I throughly enjoyed it.

You might like Mirrorshades. It's a cyberpunk anthology written by several authors. I thought it was an entertaining read.

It can be found here for like $2

I've had little luck finding downloads of textbooks. Just bite the bullet and pay for your books. Sell them on amazon/ebay before the next semester starts to recoup some of the costs.

I like both. Why do I have to choose one or the other?

Engineering student here. I appreciate the arts, some more than others, though I have no interest in being an artist. I also don't think the arts are essential to everyone. For some, art is irrelevant to their lives. I respect that. Different strokes for different folks.

How could you forget the first book you read? I usually remember the first of everything I've done if it was something "monumental" to my life. Being able to read a book for the first time was pretty important to me.

I found a similar collection of PKD Novels last week. Of the short stories of I've read:

Minority Report.
We can Remember it for you Wholesale.
and
Paycheck.

I thought they were all pretty good.

Can you link me to the short story collection you found?

If the ebook itself has a cover then the cover should show up on the nook.

I live by myself. I told my mother that an anonymous person from an internet forum sent me a book and she seemed amused.

So far I've yet to be killed. I've only posted my list once though. When I gift to people I don't even glance at the address. Not intensionally, though. I generally don't care where it's heading as long as it doesn't cost more than $4 to ship.

I've only seen the film adaptation of Takedown. I didn't like the way it portrayed Kevin Mitnick as some sort of evil villain. I probably shouldn't have seen Freedom Downtime beforehand though, as now I sympathize with Kevin, and hate Tsutomu Shimomura (the writer ove Takedown).

Have you mother check with her instructor to see if there's much difference between the earlier editions of the books. She can save quite a bit by buying used copies of the 8th addition of Exceptional children. If there's not much difference then she could probably get by fine.

I've read neuromancer, I'm currently reading snow crash, and Count Zero is what I plan to read after that. I want to read about more traditional hacking though, with keyboards, modems, security exploits and stuff. Not so much virtual reality. Cyberpunk is fine, but I want to read about more traditional hacking.
