they were elementary/middle school reads for me, but I agree they are fuckin awesome. I bawled my eyes out the first few books before I realized Jacques kills off at least one well-loved protagonist in every book. I'll never get over Rose's death in Martin the Warrior ;_;

shit I was going to post this, The Clown is definitely in my top five favourite books of all time. Group Portrait is also fantastic.

A very entertaining and interesting novel, somewhat pulpy but nonetheless brilliant.

This. Tin Drum is awesome.

Heinrich Boll writes books about Germany during the war, as well as pre and post war. He focuses on everyday life and how normal people deal with what happened, one of my favourites.

I like it, but it is okay if you don't like it OP.

I prefer the term speculative fiction, though.

How is the word "obnoxious" vague?

>> No.2366483 [View]

Judging from your post, 'help' means you want someone to write a poem for you.

Probably not going to happen, sorry OP.

Fahrenheit 451 is great, I like Bradbury's short stories more though.

I finished that one in a single read. The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, on the other hand...

I had the castle one when I was a kid. So fucking awesome.

Pic related, it's the 'siege' one. There's so many little things that make this picture.

I prefer science fiction. It seems to be more a genre of ideas, while fantasy is kinda just the same stuff in different arrangements.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

I started reading that but got distracted half way through. It was really interesting. The Dispossessed by Le Guin was awesome. Social Science Fiction.

Yeah, I can see it becoming a problem when I have to move. I guess I'm just a book hoarder and I love the idea of having tons of books to pass on. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.
