Never aroused my interest.

This book is great. Raskolnikov is unironically a great character, Dostoevsky does a pretty good job at describing the psychology of "that dude" who is much more intelligent than average, but has nothing to show for it, is much more good looking than average, but still is almost an incel. The biggest problem in this book for me is how much the the second part of the book is worse than the first part, the murder and the immediate aftermath is fucking glorious and one of the best things I ever read, but the Svidrigaylove/Luzhin/Sonya arch is very boring, also every part of the book where Raskol is not immediately present is boring(with exception of a scene involving his sister).

I was talking about the very start of the book, when Zosima goes to bless some women and when he comes back Ivan is having a discussion with some monks. Those first chapters made me conclude: Ivan is boring, Miusov is cringe and Reddit, Fyodor is based and has good humour.

Hope I am wrong about Ivan, but for now he is the brother I hate the most.

Read Lovecraft, it is fun. Most of the stories are very short so you'll lose at most 1h of your day. The Shadow Over Innsmouth is probably my favorite.
