Dummy, he ASKED you if you found it difficult.
Leave /lit/ if your reading comprehension skills are that underdeveloped.

Many people have no need for the many other functions that are featured in a tablet. They simply want the ability to compactly carry with them an assortment of easily accessible reading material.
What one buys (if they purchase either) is entirely dependent upon their needs and desires.

I meant that there are no substantial LATIN pieces from that time. Rome's history before the fourth century BC is pretty speculative. The earliest not-fragmented-to-shit history of Rome around is Livy and he was writing under Augustus. And Livy is fragmented-to-shit, too.

This is exactly what I mean. You know I meant "no substantial Latin writings" (or maybe you didn't and you really are that stupid). Just shut the fuck up and read a manga or something.

I'm okay with this. From now on I will consider the use of the word "pleb" to be a mark of "plebness".

Also the plebeians were only poor in virtually prehistoric times (~7th - 4th centuries BC). I know it's not true prehistory but for Rome it is a "dark age" in the sense that virtually no substantial writings from that time period survive. Livy tells us some stories but who knows what to make of them. By the time of Rome's "Golden Age" the distinction between plebeian and patrician was not uber-important. I know, I know, it still had SOME importance, but it wasn't a socioeconomic thing at all, there were lots of rich plebeians.

>I just feel like you and everyone else on /lit/ has no right to write creatively and be taken seriously at the same time. All the great authors are gone and you should stick to criticism and appreciation.

I agree with you, I ignore all the "hurr rate my writing" threads. Though certainly people should continue to post and critique stories if that's what they like to do. What really grinds my gears are the philosophy threads that turn to /pol/-style bullshit, same with book threads. I swear it doesn't matter how sincere the OP is, it's only a matter of time before it becomes
>implying Ayn Rand LOL xD

Or
>implying God LOL SO EDGY xD

Personally I reserve the word "pleb" for shitposters. I've noticed some people use it for people who don't speak dead languages, which I find a little excessive. But who cares. Anything is better than one-liners at this point.

We all like to write right? Good then this belongs here.

/lit/ used to be full of people who liked to write. What made /lit/ different from other boards was the fact that it wasn't full of one-liners and green-text. You could actually have a conversation - about books or writing - with other members. This was a refuge from chantards.

All I see now is reaction images and greentext.

If you're too fucking lazy to explain yourself, don't post here at all. I would rather have a slower board than a board that moves lightning fast with posts like

>implying positivism

taking up 99% of the content. Fucking plebs. The plebs are so arrogant they think other posters understand their words in the same way they do, so they don't take the time to write out posts like this one.

In conclusion, if you think >implying and >lol greentext are funny, you should die in a fire. Thanks for reading!

I'm thinking I'll have an omniscient narrator split between a diplomatic envoy to Scandanavia, a minor noble in the East of the HRE, and one of the nation's sovereign's, preferably the most active one, so I'll probably have someone like Olga of Kiev as a protagonist.

Just for you, can do.

That was originally why I put them in Scandanavia, yup.

The idea behind the world's magic is that it is a fundamentally complex system that people are learning to innovate and develop along same as technology that seems to be influenced greatly by culture.

For instance, the Rome stand in was very good at nullifying magic before countering with conventional and magical strikes at enemy weaknesses.

The Byzantines went more in the "Nullify everything, respond with conventional force" direction and swallowed a big part of Persia. The HRE stand in has less nullification and more flexible specialist magic. Czarist Russia stand in has a new thing going for them, not sure what it is just yet.

It goes back a ways. I suspect that since this trip is ridiculously easy and intuitive that this anon isn't privy to it, it's just ridiculously easy to crack. Which is funny since that's a lot of effort for trolling.

Then, by all means, amuse yourself further without letting us know.
I was asking this, because, as implied, I can't imagine this to be interesting enough to serve as a backdrop to a book.

And if it just and only would serve as a means to entertain your mind, I'd like you to keep your masturbations to yourself in the future and not trying to coax /lit/ into giving you a mental handjob.

Mostly my own amusement.

As to elves, changing from the typical concept: their military is lackluster, they aren't great at the setting's magic, but what they do have is a fairly decent diplomatic corp and a very good intelligence agency.

Also if you haven't figured it out by now this is a communal trip, hence >>2150480
