The reason why you spend so much time reading is because you are afraid of the real world. You have problems that you don't want to deal with, so you escape into your imagination, your only friend.

That is such a banal form of living; just because it is acceptable for you doesn't make it acceptable for all.
People group themselves with others because it is the simplest way to live, the easy way out. Some people are out for more out of life than mere sustenance .

Needing to identify with a group because of one's own shortcoming is pathetic; so typical of the herd.
The real problem is how to justify yourself, by yourself, with no help of associating your life with others. To do this you need to look deep inside of who you are, but most people choose not to do this because they fear what they may find.

How do you justify your petty bourgeois existence?

Myself, I can't say I can. I'll probably die the day when I can't find anything else interesting to learn about and/or write about.
There is only one great mystery that awaits, and that is death.

Don't be stupid enough to think that Nietzsche had no influence on the Nazis. He may have been rabidly misinterpreted by them, but that doesn't change the fact that there was a relationship between them.

>watching documentary Nietzsche and the Nazis on Netflix, narrated by a self-described "philosopher"
>after an hour of watching, notice that he vigorously emphasizes how the Nazis were socialist every few minutes and how he repeatedly states statistics that are contradictory to what I have learned in previous history classes
>look up the narrator, Stephen Hicks, on Wikipedia
>"Hicks has published articles and essays on a range of subjects, including free speech in academia, the history and development of modern art, Ayn Rand's Objectivism, business ethics and the philosophy of education"
>realize that he's an objectivist

>stop watching

Is there no such thing as intellectual integrity anymore?

"The early Christian Church was very favorably disposed towards Seneca and his writings, and the church leader Tertullian called him "our Seneca." -Moses Hadas. The Stoic Philosophy of Seneca, 1958. 1

Looks like he was an early Christian at heart, thanks for further proving my point.

The only true existentialism is Christian existentialism- the false being merely immature teenage atheist angst.
