so /lit/ how is that novel your working on going?

>> No.907426 [View]

a fucking shit load, my work habits are.

begin with a seemingly good story

halfway through, want to change a large portion

keep writing

read over work and edit

change shit

continue writing

then when i am finished, i sometimes re-write it. Planning is everything, i actually write more on the stories/characters/objects/locations in planning mode than in the book itself.

the final stage is stringing it all together coherently....like cooking a cake....

thank you, and good luck to you as well.

no problem, i find it so challenging to actually finish a book. let alone get it published. i would like to write as a career, English is my strongest subject, and i feel that if i don't become a career writer, then i may end up with a dead end job...

doesn't seem bad.

i have not only read a lot of books on "the implanted device" but also quite a few movies have been released with the same sort of ideas.

though to me, it does not seem that interesting. They are violent criminals who may be electrocuted at one mans whim, i think that it would be more interesting, if you wrote it from one of the prisoners view. and add a "saw" theme to it, as in the man runs their lives for the book.

feel free to copy me, i made this up on the spot.

that's very modest, and sounds like the attitude of a true writer. i would like to be published one day, but most of all i want to create an excellent book if by consequence i receive funds for the laborious work. I would gladly spend it as i would of earned it.

sort of both, i have a lot of ideas to begin, but as i progress i run out of information, and as i do not plagiarize, it is hard to actually make up something on your own which has never been written or used before.

i have seen a few people on here who have some writing acumen, and i would like to ask where they get their ideas from.

oh wait sorry i misread it, sounds pretty good....

it is also picking a subject which is hard to do, i have a lack of commitment in some situations i have tried:

sci-fi fail
crime fail
and recently i have started a zombie fable, but that has taken a turn for the worse, i left a lot of plot holes.

hey /lit/ i have tried countless times to write a novel of my liking only to realise halfway through their arbitrary nature.

i then realised that it was ill planning to blame. so i downloaded YWriter to begin the planing of my supposedly great novel. but i found another road block, as summoning ideas was a hard task to accomplish.

tl;dr: /lit/ what do you do for inspiration in your writing?

Hey /lit/

i am writing a zombie novel at the moment, and i was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas?

right now my character has left his sanctuary and is walking down a parched road with a horde on his trail, the zombies can run but they are shambling ATM.

so any ideas?

all you are doing is glossing over theories that have already been created by minds more competent than your own....

guess what! It doesn't take a genius to repeat something someone else has said

that is an interesting statement.

Moore wasn't using the fact that all the insane people live in America as his main argument, he was just explaining to people that the shooting goes deeper than a couple of idiots with guns and a feud. there are so many topics on Zionist governments doing horrible things that right now, i am busy reading the propaganda and fear governing genre of books, they are all interesting.

my conclusion is:
humans minds are weak. most of the time, people cannot comprehend the horrendous things happening to them and so they remain naive. for instance

i am re-reading Elli and i noticed once again that when in the ghetto she didn't want to know what was going to come people may see, OH BUT SHE WAS ONLAY 13! but still, even the parents would break under pressure, tha'ts why the fear based governing works so well. we get told that the russains are invading and we have to contribute everything we have to the government for war efforts, and we would do it....

but oh well back to the discussion of books don't mind me, ill just be walking to the exit

i have read deep articles on the topic, i believe that the action was malice, and i wish that the shooters had lived so they would spend life in prison or get the death penalty, there are many books on the columbine shootings, this is just another they all contain the same element...

i read that the school would tell the kids that whatever they are now they will be for the rest of their lives, and those kids were probably the distracting type, i still think what they did was so fucking evil though, seeing the crying faces of those kids, just going to school one day, and then being thrown into that situation i think that the worst part was when they entered the library...and yes most of the time i felt like shit
