There's the literature/'literary' club that goes to plays and whatnot. Then there's the book club which is just a lot of people who want to read and discover new books. I'm apart of the latter. The dude who runs the literature club had a tizzyshit about the book club existing because he said it wasn't 'necessary'. The 'literature' club has not read a book in over FOUR YEARS.

no tnx.

Also, meetings themselves are almost always sort of a mess. Mostly concerned with fund-raising and stuff. But the book club might be discontinued because the guy who started it is going to main campus next semester. Shit sucks, but none of the rest of the members are organized to get it going again.

I sort of agree with this, but for different reasons. That whole 'hero's journey' motif, and since Harry has Hermione and Ron, you have two different perspectives to coast along the story with. You also wouldn't have the same dynamic with Sirius Black (sorry, but, favorite character by far), and as his last familial link to his parents, I think that man to man/father (figure) to son relationship was really important. This relationship is also prevalent with Lupin, Hagrid and others. It also lets you see the feminine in more ways than one (whereas having a female protagonist sort of limits the scope of perceptions of the masculine): sister, femme fatale (Bellatrix, sort of), mother, lover, etc.

I'm sorry if I rambled too much. It's late.

I'm working on my BA at the moment, but when I decide to go on for my MA, there's a school that only offers majors directly related to Campbell's and Jung's work.
Might sound useless to the layman, but I HAVE to go.

Images are good, but I feel there's too much use of 'as'.
But then I'm not a poetfag, so take that with a grain of salt.

I was honestly going to say what's in my pic, as I still have my copy, I loved it as a kid.
But if religion is that much of a factor...
Also, consider it an honor to be named a godfather. Don't tarnish it by trying to convert kids that aren't biologically yours.
