So I've read Laymon's "Island" and Keene's "Castaways", what are some more good Survival Horror novels? Islands are optional.
Pic related...sort of

Keep in mind that this was my first interview with a majorish celebrity, let alone a telephone interview. I was nervous as all get out. I didn't want to do anything that could get me in trouble or something.

Honestly, it just happened. It was sometime in 2008 when I had just finished the english dub of Higurashi no Naku Koroni. I was really entertained by the voice actor of the main male character and thought, 'I wonder if I could get a short email interview with the guy.'
Trust me, it's easier than it sounds. All you do is send an email and politely ask for an interview. If you suspect the person is busy, suggest an email interview when asking; it takes less time and isn't as much of a hassle for the celeb, etc.
I'm going to post a guide to my blog about the whole interviewing deal, soon.

No problem.
It isn't really professional at all. I'm just a college student who interviews Celebs and people in the various media divisions for fun. But even I have to say that it was a sloppy move on my end.

Richard Laymon "Island"

Eventually, I'll set them free.
The keys to their cages are bound to turn up, somewhere.
Maybe under the mattress where Wesley said they'd be.

Any suggestions for other "stranded on an island" stories?

Ah I see. Hmm, substituting that into the story, it does seem like a good idea. So, would I like include a monolouge by the mc as to why he is in his shitty motel room being harassed? I mean, I'm not just going to say 'Hey, I'm in this shitty motel room being harrased by a druggie, you'll never know why!'

I just happened to have it open and in front of my face at the moment so yeah, I'm going to cite it if it applies to the situation. And light novel or not, it's the equivalent to a novella ala The Mist, since, you know, ln is 99% the same thing as novella.
