I was finally able to define the pathway or trinity for a succesful life, in 3. Which I believe to be the perfect number.

Status, Family, Health.
Status; Finance, Social standing, Power
Family; Family, Friends, Peers
Health; Mental, Spiritual, Physical

All 3 are all related within their subcategories, and that is their relation in life.

I'm guessing I'd have to define the diction, which would be where I would use citation.

So, for instance if one wanted to define the "optimal life of man", and a pathway and philosophy to back it, would it require the person to back it up with other peoples attempts? Or could one merely provide rhetorical logic?

Obviously they would correlate their own knowledge to the ones before them, but would they need to study the classics if they plan to write and publish?
