Macbeth knows that Lady Macbeth will egg him into murdering Duncan - otherwise, why would he have told her? In addition, he made her an accessory to the crime in wiping the daggers and drove her mad by dragging her further and further into bloodshed while no longer consulting her.

Shakespeare wrote plays and poems, you god damn morons.

I've only read Maltese Falcon by Hammet, should really get his other works.

Fuckin love Chandler though. Got a collection of Marlowe stories which I really need to repair. I love how loose he makes his writing seem while still making every sentence golden. Probably among my favourite authors.

I don't understand the appeal of trolling people whose opinions are affirmed by decades of critical praise and cultural appreciation.

Perhaps you meant to inspire feelings of anger and resentment by your actions?

You take on windmills and have romantic delusions. It's an insult.

Jesus, you pretentious faggots.

The Maltese Falcon

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

Dracula

Cats Cradle

These are all excellent works that have a pretty tight narrative, although Dracula may fit the bill only loosely.

You were obviously dumber than you believed yourself to be.

Sirens of Titan is among his best.

soft science fiction often has the most to say about society. But that's simply because authors of hard science fiction are too obvious and cliche, unfortunately. And yes, I am very sick of dystopia.

Wren was only the protagonist for like 50% of Infernal Devices, at least.

Also Tom was a kid in Mortal Engines...

On an unrelated note, why the hell wasn't I informed of this?

"In April 2010, it was confirmed that WETA is working on the adaption. Peter Jackson is to be both director and producer, and the film will be shot in stereoscopic 3D.

According to IMDB, the movie may be coming out in 2012."

They had better make the cities fucking unbelievable.

This series may have been written for children with too much exposition, but it featured incredible set pieces, genuine wit, gripping plots/substories and the overall premise was simply awesome.

Does this book ape any other sci-fi novel before it? Opinions on the series?

also yay flood detection mixed with captcha.

damn I have just the book for you, can't remember the name though. It's quite a surreal piece about two gunmen who go to investigate a "monster" in the basement of some twin's houses, only to discover wierd shit is manipulating the residence.

Can anyone help me out?

I can't stand books about Racial tolerance or whatever, especially if it's from the perspective of a child or innocent family. I read so much of that bullshit in school, it felt like I was being programmed.

Awesome childrens book. Features some quite excellent dark humour, particularly in the later books. I don't know if a grown dude could get into it.
