Man, In Flames used to be amazing. They used to be one of my favorite bands.

Too bad they turned to shit after Whoracle.

Folk metal and black metal mostly.

Some of my favorite bands: Svartsot, Ensiferum, Amon Amarth, Folkearth, Folkodia, Finntroll, Alestorm, Burzum, Nyktalgia, Kamelot, Elvenking, Korpiklaani, etc. Those are just the bands that pop into my head at the moment.

I own them all, but I haven't read them yet. I'm waiting for him to give the release date for Dance.

This is how I do it:
Author Name > series title (Dark Tower, A Song of Ice and Fire, etc) > series publication date > standalone titles

I've heard that the Shadow series has the same feel as Ender's Game did. Is this true?

Speaker for the Dead is god tier
Xenocide is meh tier
Children of the Mind is shit tier

I'm reading Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami. I really like it so far. I've also read Battle Royale a few years ago.

That is as far as I've gotten into Japanese literature.

Any interest I had in those ideas was ruined by the boring 10 page long discussions they constantly had about them.

I read Starship Troopers by Heinlein. Really loved it despite the fact that it was rather dry, lacking plot, characters with any personality, and action. I knew going into it I was going to get a political essay in the form of a military science fiction book.

That is all I have read of the "Big Three".

Despite the fact that I loved Ender's Game, I can definitely see someone thinking it is bad. It is almost better fit as a young adult book.

You should have. While Ender's Game was a good, "fun" book, Speaker for the Dead was a much more mature, adult book. It was full of mysteries that slowly got uncovered and it had some good character development.

I'm thinking of reading Cantebury Tales in Middle English. Is it difficult? I've heard it spoken and it sounds like a completely different language.

Seriously, Children of the Mind was one of the worst books I've read.

I buy like 90% of my books used, so generally I pick up whatever edition the bookstore has in stock.

Song of Kali was amazing, albeit slow (though I thought the slowness in the beginning worked to its advantage)

Fear is good. Not scary, but strange.

Dear god read Speaker for the Dead. It is my favorite of the quartet.

Don't jump to Ender in Exile right away. People say it spoils a lot of the Shadow series.
