Best Christ analogy ever? Yes, I think so. It's an excellent commentary on the inevitable downfall of various communes/absolute freedom groups once they move beyond a small group of handpicked people and the inhuman aspects of living without personal boundaries. It was my childhood. Started with Deep Wizardry which I "borrowed" from my school library and never ended up giving back.

Later I read the 1st in the series which I felt was a disappointment, but the rest go from good to ok.

I actually own a Qu'ran. Read about 3 pages in and then said "fuck this", because there is no way Mohammad wrote it or even had a strong hand in it, the prose is too high level, too well educated and has the mark of highly organized religion. Which means it's no more holy then anything else which came out of the catholic church.
