Somewhat but no one cares. Writing about yourself is easy and it works better than trying to write about other people cos ur trapped in your person all the time.

I wouldn't write it AS yourself tho, I would create a new character thats BASED off you. That could be very cool and I will read it when you finish it, publish it, post about it here and reference this thread.

can't be bothered to tag all 13 posts or whatever but that was really good, motivation anon!

You have struck a fucking chord with me. This is the kind of push that I needed. I won't just think 'hey this is cool, now im not gonna do shit', I actually intend on acting, will post in a few months when I've sorted my shit out. Trip for proof.

Here we go, actual ideas! Now that wasnt so hard was it?

>That there is an eternal metaphysical truth that is reflected in different religions according to the various circumstances surrounding them and adapted to the needs and modes of thought of that region or people

So basically that people have needs that need to be met, there are cultural customs that vary between cultures and there are similarities in different cultures that are observable and of interest. Fairly straightforward stuff so far.

>That modernity is a disaster on all levels spiritually, intellectually etc and that this in part is the result of the west losing sight of some of the above teachings.

Interesting. So life was perfect back 3k years ago and every modern progressive aspect of society is bad. Seems pretty crazy but ya know, it's subjective and thats his opinion. Who am I to say what he should think is good?

>That we are at a late stage in the process of a descent away from spirituality and intellectuality down into a dispersion into multiplicity, matter, confusion, division and irreligion, and that we still have further to go.

I partially agree with this. We have become less spiritual but at the same time this does have an expiry date and with the ever increase of information I do reckon we are going to see a resurge in spirituality and higher levels of consciousness.

Also I hate the piling of terms here. I don't think intellectual capacity and belief in religion are intrinsically linked. Pretty much no one believes that. That is rather crazy.

>That everything is emcompassed by a limitless web of symbolical relationships that reflects everythings dependence upon and reflection of metaphysical principles.

Fair enough. I'll give you that one. Not bad.

Overall he seems pretty mediocre. Has some outright batty ideas and some cool ones. I can see more to him than simply being a meme philosopher. That said he doesn't sound that interesting, just sounds like someone that has an obsession with some ancient culture like japan 1k years ago or something.

I can understand why people on 4chan would read this shit (other than because it was spammed on pol)

Why try to address something that was only written to show off the author's 'literary skills'. Its absolute bullshit and I won't provide a refutation because
1. It's unclear what argument and justification he actually makes due to his overly vague language.
2. It wasn't made for people to understand it. I will argue for or against something should the writer want to constructively engage with the reader.

You haven't said what was so profound about his philosophy or why we should even consider reading him, all you've said is that he is good without any reason why.
Also cringe.

From someone whos read it, its not worth looking at. Its written in really gay ambiguous phrasing that ends up meaning jack shit while pretending to prove his point.

In this instance idealism is thoughts of utopia etc. Like things that would be ideal but you have no idea on how to implement them and pragmatism is how much you reject idealistic thoughts like above and only focus on things that you can see a way of implementing.

It will. But it has to be done properly and you might still have a sense of nihilism but you'll look at it very differently. Our ideas about the world are based on our fulfilment of needs and happiness and not the other way round. People who resonate with the idea of hopelessness and nihilism are people that have no hope left or are in a bad place and you'll find if you become holistically happier and have more of your needs fulfilled then you will notice that you won't be a hopeless nihilist anymore, you might become an absurdist or you might magically come to the realisation that there is something rather than nothing.

Stay strong my dude.
