Thus I must humbly state in the present tense that I, and not I THE ORATOR OF SPOKEN TEXT IN YOUR MIND, but I, I the Edgar of original post fame thusly must admit that even on my most intelligent whims I sometimes commit grave acts of dumbnimity. Dumbnimity is just one of many words I have concocted in my mind's eye. Some say bravery is admitting you are not the smartest guy (OR gal) in the room. I must admit thusly that I am not always the most intelligent.

Oh to be the least smart in a room is no small task. You begin to suspect the sullen looking guy off in a corner might be smarter than you and you begin to read more of your book to gain more intelligence and your gaze returns. The guy is still there...

Have you ever seen a more intelligent creature despite all of your reading? I have read incredible musing by the brightest creatures in all of the papyrus canon, verily! Its astounding the theories shacked up in my noggin. We all die. Even I die. (Had to be said.)

Well that's a wrap folks. Tell me what you think.
Is intelligence a myth?

One thing I learned early on from a book that I will never forget that is probably the most important lesson: Be Nice. It's simple sure but also true. Be nice and you can't have it bad. Everyone loves you when you are nice. When you die people will miss you. Mean or nice people might still remember you but if you are nice then you have power. When people miss you then you are their drug and their struggle is your absence. Ask yourself if you have that right now. Does you not being in another person's life right at this moment make them tweak, so to say? If you answered no then you have no right judging me. I am doing just fine ttym.

Shut up you rather unintelligent bore. (Zzzz Zzzz............ AH!!) OH GOD I JUST WOKE UP. Teehee-hee you put me to sleep you're such a bore. I would rather crouch behind a pile of books without my spectacles than to commit to eye the rather, how shall i put this... BOORISH nature of your words.

Her foreignest friend wrapped a gummy bear sticky stinky in my bubbly butthole full of, well what I don't know how exactly to say it but, well, ya know "Foreign Matter". I mean it might have been poop. The way her eyes darted towards the space on the wall that would have made a great spot for a clock made me lose confidence. Let me tell you right now that I, sadly, relax my bowels when I begin to doubt myself. Spurts of stinky strings flew from my ass in a real hurry! "Holy shit I'm so sorry!" but out it came and her initial response must have been to run had she any sense.

Love is a curious thing. Rather than leave right then the woman dug through the sludge for what remained of the gummy bear sticky stinky. My heart sank. She took a chew. "uh well how does it taste" I asked. "Look poop!". My condom tore.

Many of them also did it because that was their circle. For some of them those allusions were of contemporaries. That isn't the way it typically is nowadays. There's a wealth of works around for us in this modern era to swallow but not much of it is of the caliber of the types of authors Joyce or Woolfe chummed with. We are just fanboys circumnavigating a canon. When we allude it is less personal because these aren't people or works that were written in our times and that hadn't already gone through years of scholarly analyses.

I'd say bearing witness to the kid who reached that stage where they believe they must embellish their writing with impenetrable allusions and references to be legitimized. Even when the classics or poets do it, it's essentially showing off a "power level". If you intend to write for an audience or theorists then go for it; otherwise, don't expect anyone to invest themselves in the flaunting of some prat attempting to look like a professorial. People in this stage of their literary development lack the solid foundation to back up that gumption anyway. Try to get it out of your system.

"Don't look at me. You don't know me. I don't even know myself. I am sad. That is the Mako's honest truth. I don't understand where I come from. They call me the 1 winged angel. Why?

I killed her because I knew it would heal the planet. In the end it was true wasn't it? Remember that green things coming out of the ground for the meteor? Twas her. I had to do it.

But Cloud [edgar] didn't understand. How could he. He doesn't know himself either. I am sorry I took the love of his life away from her. There was no other option! People fear me like I'm a shark. Sharks actually are scared of people more.

I regret everything I did. You struck me down Cloud [edgar] so now I must go... agh"

Idiotic twits. The only poetry of note in this thread was written by YOURS TRULY. I've read the poems you praised. I've read a dozen likes those to be honest. I'm not impressed by what you consider praiseworthy and I'm sure your mothers feel the same. My poem had excellent breaks and colorful language. It took the form into bold new places. You're impressed by kitty nip. To Hell with you!

Thrust your pelvis against
My guiding star
Tears against a
Sternum flooded out
By your leaking hide
My fingers prickly, tickly,
Giving you the gigglies
Knowing you're into me
Like "I LOVE YOU EDDY"
When I correct to say Edgar
Foolish piece making me ease
In slow then faster
I go again into the thick
Misty. Misty trenches. Beautiful ass.
This bosom meant only for men.
A man like Edgar. That man is I.

You're quite welcome. What most people fail to realize is that change, real change, is instantaneous. It occurs as swiftly as the snap of your fingers. It isn't a long churning process unless you're consciously mulling over it out of fear. Change can happen at any instant. Just change your internal perspective. Namaste.

With the year coming to a close I thought it'd be good to inspire others to do their part in making 2017 a good year for literary advocacy. Quote and image by me. Good message, huh? Don't forget that you can be a productive and worthwhile person just as much anybody else.

Make 2017 yours! :)

First of, I apologize for my bluntness: I'm a few steps above your clan.
The wishy-washy nostalgia for those names speaks volumes.

Need I say more? OK I will.
I am a STEM student who can play harp. I will always be beyond the likes of you. This place and its lexicon is your last clutch to feel as if you belong somewhere. It's not a matter of impressing anyone when you're on this site. It's only a matter of feeding into its culture and being a carbon copy of your cohorts. Frauds of all every ilk and creed enrage me. I expose your kind for sport. Despite the cute moniker you ceased to exist as an individual long, long ago. Nothing will change that hard truth.

Not surprised you people are less than appreciative.
My presence guarantees 3 things: Transgression, Progression, and Revolution. It's kinda my M.O.
It's kinda the reason decrepit members belonging to antiquated systems & institutions love to suppress me.

You're old news.
You'll never be new.
You've never been news.
Your mentality is out-of-date.
None of your views are revelatory.
I am your opposite in every conceivable fashion.
I am not toothless. I speak truth to power. My words have power.

MY IDENTITY matters. YOUR IDENTITY doesn't. It is that simple.

Well, shucks, consider me humbled. Thanks for making the the opening example in what is sure to be a good thread. It's nice to see positivity and good citizenship being promoted here for once. I've made the effort an effort to make every conversation I enter (and finish) a worthwhile endeavor and I'm a bit surprised to see someone noticed. Thanks!

You're no better than I. Just thought you should know. Call me classist but it's absolutely true. My views are the only ones with any oomph. You're a toothless peddler for the righteous cause. I'm a progressive with gusto. You are not necessary so long as I exist, so cease, scram, and shoo.

It amuses me that, in your unfailing collective stupidity, my high quality post (honestly, the most damning one in this thread) was overlooked in the span of 11 separate replies. My post completely upended the argument being made by this thread. It should have been the end of discussion, but you goons refused to read it. A pity... your loss, not mine.
