Literature is basically a scam perpetuated by those who were suckered into reading it themselves. There is literally zero merit in so-called "literature" and it is as much of a timesink as anything, and yet people somehow pretend there is some intangible "benefit" to reading these.

If you ask people to explicitly clearly state the benefits of reading "literature", they will not be able to do so. They can only give such vague terms as "muh enjoyment" or "muh beauty" which can be applied to eating shit just as well.

STEM is oversaturated at the moment. Try picking up a trade instead. There is always demand for electricians, mechanics and construction workers. If you go into engineering there's a good chance you won't be able to find a job as an engineer.
