Anyone read a large portion of this chart? I've read a fair bit of sttas from the four Nikayas and I feel I have a fairly good understanding of the various five aggregates, dependent origination, emptiness, kamma, dhamma, and other such concepts
I've read Bhikku Bodhi's "In the Buddha's Own Words" and I quite liked it, but I took issue with his translation of "craving" or "attachment" as "lust" in the book, if anyone of you is planning to read it keep that in mind, but when he uses descriptions like "sensual pleasure", then that's more accurate for the actual meaning of "lust"
I think what I'm looking for is mostly early history combined with more actual doctrine and philosophy, particularly relating more so to existential and ontological concepts like Dependent Origination, Non-Self and other things, though anything relating to their ethics and conduct is also welcome

How do I get started with Buddhism? Its such a clusterfuck of weird names of different sects whenever I open a thread. I want to understand what it all means. I'm using this chart now but how do I gain more specialized knowledge on the different sects?

I'm currently reading the memoirs of William T. Sherman, and it's awakened the civil war obsessed middle schooler I was long ago. I know I could read Grant's memoirs, Lincoln's speeches, Whitman's poetry, or even a slave narrative or two, but I want more. Any recommendations would be appreciated; preferably, works written during the period, but I'll take anything pertaining.

I don't know how good this is but pic related is a Buddhism chart.

Do you men "bad" aesthetically or ethically? In either case, both of these are considered disciplines now and you should be able to find some reading lists with some research.
