To the guy who recommended Eternal Champion, I am a whopping three chapters in and think this isekai will be alright. Thanks, I think.

Are there any books that feature a genre shift at some point during? By that, I mean a complete shift from one/few to another/few.

Galactic Pot-healer has been the most traditional Fantasy of PKD I've read so far.

I'm reading The Simulacra and some of Kongrosian's dialogue is some of the best I've seen yet by PKD. I'm enjoying the book immensely by now, of course. I'm hoping I encounter another mindfuck story like TIme Out of Joint, though.
I need new manga to read too but wew that is much more difficult to find.

I read one of the associated short stories, and then a good chunk of that book but I dropped it because it took too long for anything to happen. I did like the overall premise to the story's universe though.

Time Out of Joint by PKD was a great read. I haven't read a mindfuck like that in a long while.
I am currently reading The World Jones Made by PKD.
What is the best non-/lit/ lit and why is it One Piece?

Amidst the shitposting, I'll do an Amazon book review since nobody fucking else reads this shit:

I recently read Broken Stars (https://www.amazon.com/Broken-Stars-Universe-Fire-Book-ebook/dp/B07CZX4CQG/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1540164727&sr=1-1&keywords=broken+stars&dpID=51dqiQvUd8L&preST=_SY445_QL70_&dpSrc=srch)) which is borderline RPGshit. The premise intrigued me--humans finally launch a spaceship only to be shot down by a higher civilization and confined on Earth, furthering their technology and discovering magic. Obviously, it goes deeper than that. but you get the gist. Many of the battle scenes and descriptions are needlessly lengthy (e.g., spelling out a number instead of using numerical units, too much pedancy any time a battle takes place or a battle-related object is described, etc.) Ultimately, the few twists within the first book weren't as cliche and expected as thought and while it isn't anything amazing, it would be alright for an afternoon read.

In non-Amazonshit, I strongly suggest reading Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss.

Author lists normally or similar titles at random. If the premise seems even plausibly interesting then I'll pick it up. Lots of searching, both for titles you will read and which will have quality, making it worthwhile. I even found some Amazon titles again based off Amazon books I bought and liked ~5 years back so once I read those I'll post about them individually.
I wish I could find new manga to read as easily.

I wish PKD were still around and could churn out more insane sci-fi. I literally was too tired to comprehend it and had to go to sleep.

I finished Permutation City.
I didn't understand the inclusion of the Riemann or Peer subplots at all.
I was expecting a greater twist or some such.
I enjoyed all the dialogue and monologue and musings on consciousness and what makes you you.

Are there any hard sci-fi short-story/novella collections involving traveling vast distances through space?
