2001 fag here. Due to the wide excess and development of mass communication technology, this is probably the most over socialized generation in human history. Independent consciousness has been thoroughly raped, and now there's such a fundamental pressure to "fit in" from platforms like Twitter and YouTube due to the amount of mental space they occupy. This pressure is so great that the need to be accepted is overriding the need to reaching rational truth.

As for myself, I had a pretty bad videogame addiction growing up, but I got over it as the years went on. I also went through a horn dog phase in highschool, but this was probably due to hormones. I discovered /pol/ when I was 15, and started reading the edgy novels they recommend, but around the time I was senior I actually developed disciplined reading habits and started browsing /lit/ instead.

As for the rest of this shithole generation, there are dissidents but they certainly aren't the majority. Like all crowds, they need a higher figure in charge of propaganda institutions to fix the way they think.

Kaczynski was right about leftism/liberals. They're literal psychopaths. I was against this type of demonization in the past but this is reaching a point where it's absurdly evident that these people are mad. I'm registered in a leftist forum and they have managed to shut down virtually every news posted today about Cuba from the main page except some article about "debunking fake news on the Cuban protests". The concept itself of "fake news" in the postmodern context they preach is like a dissociative disorder. Those people believe that there are only opinions yet they have the actual factual truth, this is absolute madness. Not to talk about how moral these egomaniacs perceive themselves, it's sickening. What are other books or authors that explain the leftist mindset?

I became a social recluse in the last 4-5 years and it has left me socially inept. Recommend me good books which would help me with talking to people.

I just can't seem to read with full focus when staring at a computer screen. I do fine using an Ipad/Kindle but something about PCs is offputting. Anyone else exclusively buys/borrows real books (if it is possible)?

A ton of our social problems are caused by the social isolation that our car culture layout has forced upon American lives. The apathy, the mental driftlessness, the lack of defined purpose or future, all of these can be tied back to the fact that our car culture has pushed us into a layout of housing that isolates us from our communities. This funnels down to the kids and fucks them up even more.
