I remember doing Advanced Higher (A-level) English in school and my teacher saying I was really good at poetry, but I hated poetry, so I felt sad for all the poems in the world and my poor teacher - thinking me a connoisseur of poems when I was anything but.

I was always a tryhard charlatan faggot who only wanted to read the most literary and or difficult novels because I was young, insecure, and stupid. Now that I've grown out of that I am trying to catch up on fun sci-fi and fantasy series I never read. Where should I start? I want to read the classics like Dune so don't worry about that, I want to know more modern stuff that is fun to read and not completely brain dead or commercial. What am I reading bros?

I was laying in bed last night contemplating death. I do this regularly but last night I was particularly deep in thought about it.
Death terrifies me not because it’s unknown, but because the thought of not existing anymore really takes my brain for a whirl. I can imagine what being dead is like. It’s just...lights out. In the blink of an eye your brain turns off and it’s over.
