Two kinds of people have legitimate grievances with JP, and that's trannies and nationalists, so there you go.

Personally, I don't really have strong feelings about him. He's okay. It was fun to listen to those initial lectures he uploaded, before the whole thing became such a spectacle. I don't think he should be involved too deeply in politics, since he's a psychologist, and he has no business being at the forefront of these debates.

Here are some criticisms you need to know as an informed reader:
>on masculinity/femininity as order and chaos
He is right when he says conservatism likes to put up boundaries and liberalism takes them down. What is very important here is that this is analogous to "unity" and "diversity" (be careful not to interpret these as buzzwords but see how they logistically generalize). Unity is feminine (because women are more interested in people, relationships) and multiplicity is masculine (men are more interested in things, also why Adam names the animals in the garden, men categorize and systematize, and as such Autism is a hypermasculine disorder).
Peterson says femininity is chaos but by doing so he categorizes unity as chaos and due to that there is an imbalance happening towards hypercategorization, to divide everything as much as possible into rational structures so that you have "order", but because of Peterson's language game, order actually is valued as the disruption of unity, because unity has become categorizes as "chaos" and therefore a negative (though he does say it is necessary to have it, the valuation is off and this creates serious consequences).
>on Will to Power
Peterson's misreading of the masculine and feminine categories is general to his misreading of Nietzsche.

Master morality:
The value of competence = power (means)
The value of power = love (end)

Slave morality:
The value of competence = love
The value of power = power

Slave moralists understand power as predation which is why Peterson says power is arbitrary while competence is not. Competence in no matter what circumstance is always valued in terms of power (contextually referred to as "proficiency"). Slave moralists, in a rather Freudian manner, unconsciously become the object of their own disgust because they see power as the enemy rather than the means to every end (by having the "means", you have the power). Their desire to be free from the powers that oppress them is only the desire for power themselves, and because they call the will to power "evil" they necessarily become self-hating hypocrites.
The cognitive process of slave moralism is to escape from a stressor, to move away from the undesired rather than to move towards the desired. This informs the language they use. A slave moralist will think "will to power = power valued for its own sake", that is because they are trapped in the slave moralist language game.

>on radical individualism
All phenomena is relational. Aristotle said this about time; all moments can be infinitely subdivided. This means that unity is the precondition for diversity. Existence necessarily requires unity. Jung is the fact of the individualism creating diversity within the singular subject (archetypes of the personality). Radical individualism is only desired because unity is seen as chaos and therefore predatory; the solution that Peterson sees in everything is to subdivide things into categories so they can be "understood"; the problem is that multiplicity exists by virtue of negation. By calling masculinity "order" he simultaneously defines "negation" as the opposite of chaos, and therefore the secret to all understanding and truth. This is a very serious mistake because negation is the thing that draws a line, and the lines themselves literally don't exist, they just conceptually separate things that do exist. This means that Jordan Peterson's idea of truth is conceptual multiplicity, which is to say he literally believes (or he acts as though, which according to his theory literally means "he believes") that conceptual boundaries are more real than that which they signify. People have criticized Radical Individualism on the political level that it "atomizes" people, but on the cognitive front it attempts to atomize all phenomena. This is like using a pencil to create a grid on a white sheet of paper, continually adding to the grid until you cannot see any of the white anymore and the entire page is black. Negation is death, and Peterson's truth is negation, therefore his truth is death. Radical individualism destroys the concept of unity and therefore connection itself when it becomes the axiom of a psychological doctrine. Power is unity; unity is connectivity; connectivity is feminine; femininity is power. This means that Peterson's doctrine is antisocial because it literally inverts chaos and order so that negation is mistaken for unity and power desired for its own sake is mistaken for love. It also is psychoanalytically homosexual; Peterson's idolatry of competence as an answer to his demonization of power leads to a fetishization that is psychanalytically equivalent to "I hate (or fear) women, I can only feel loved by (or safe in the presence of) men".

>on responsibility and duty
Peterson argues "the meaning of life is to be found in responsibility". What he does not include is that responsibility is to be found in power (with great power comes great responsibility). The more responsibility, the more meaning; the idea of taking responsibility for your potential is to take responsibility for your power, and the desire to take on more responsibility is the desire to use more of your power.
Because Peterson demonizes power and builds his entire language game around that fact, he creates a neo-categorical imperative disguised as pragmatism that ignores what Nietzsche said towards Kant in Beyond Good and Evil. His attempt to create unconditional duty ethics that are justified by the idolatry of competence (which debases pragmatism into the fetishization of power for its own sake) is totalitarian.
