Books with unpredictabily insane twists? I read Call of the Crocodile because of this board and it’s the weirdest instance I’ve ever encountered. I’m going to read the rest of this series but I want more recommendations since this place usually gives good ones. It doest just have to be horror but that would be a plus if it is since I like that genre.

Are you aware that F Gardner has written an entire series of horror novels, called the Horror's Call series? Much like Call of the Crocodile, the famous /lit/ meme with the unforgettable twist, they are set in Chicago. As for recommendations, that can be difficult, because they can be read in any order. But I don't think you'll be disappointed.
