I've done that kind of thing. First time was in a party, I was stupid drunk, raised my arm and pointed at a girl I really liked. Told her "By the end of the night you'll be mine". To be fair, I wrote some "cringe"" poetry as a teen. (Quotes bc I'm not ashamed of it, no matter what people will think). I was at a very low point in my life when these two girls, bless them, dragged me out of a downward spiral and pretty much saved me from becoming a cruel/vile version of myself. One in particular really cared for me, and I think had romantic feelings for me. I wrote her a poem which I gave to her when we graduated high school. I called her my version of Dante's Beatrice in it, a paragon of virtue who restored my faith in God and stopped me from wandering down dark paths. I think that I did love her; not romantically mind you, but I loved her for saving me when everyone even my parents had either turned on me or given up.
