That is a very interesting topic from a historical perspective, as the knowledge of it would explain so many things. To give an example, it would explain why we removed ourselves from Aristotle's philosophy of mind and why the field looks the way it does today. I'm reading a book on it atm, it's called "Descartes on the Human Soul" by C. F. Fowler.

Do ontological dimensions like monism vs dualism vs trilism etc pluralism. Their takes on truth, applicability in mapping physical objects accurately. Progress and growth in them and perhaps use a philosopher or religion or subject as an anchor to explore those dimensions in.

It's on LibGen, so yes. As for where to get additional sources on this topic, there's a bibliography on Descartes called "Bibliographia Cartesiana" (also available on LibGen for free) surveying the literature on the man and his influence between 1800 and 1960.
