No. I like to discuss philosophy and religion but it attracts people who don’t read books like flies to shit. People don’t really care about discussing fiction literature if they haven’t read it but they love doing it with non-fiction, particularly philosophy. Whoever has the power to create boards seems to be appealing to the dorky user base of 4chan rather than its nerdy user base. Meaning that dorks like videogames and fantasies, while nerds like science and academics. 4chan has always been more dorky than nerdy, hence the prevalence of new boards about videogames but none about academic subdivisions.
