90% of that chart are reference manuals. it's a good list of books if you want to get more in depth about something you're interested in, but to imply that one should slog through all those books in order, as if it's a good way to learn, is complete stupidity.

Yusuf Ali
>That which is on earth we have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them - as to which of them are best in conduct. Verily what is on earth we shall make but as dust and dry soil (without growth or herbage).

Books about music in general, anything from non-fiction to Tony Morrison's "Jazz".

I suppose it'd be difficult what with different genres and all but some sort of comprehensive list would be cool. Also it would help elevate those /mu/rant plebs up to our level

still subjectively the best top100, very close to how I would rate the books (the ones I've read of the list), like ulysses #1, shakespeare complete works anywhere between #2 and #5, along with moby dick, finnegans wake and the divine comedy.

between #6 and #10, the bible, iliad & odyssey, karenina and karamazov

Tbh old style "Tory" conservatism of the kind you describe has a bit of a reputation for being anti-intellectual, that's why typically you get identitarian stuff from mainland Europe anyways on the right.

I would however recommend GK Chesterton, anything by him at all. Very UK specific if you aren't British I apologise. "Freedom and Reality" by Enoch Powell maybe fits the bill as well, but is somewhat more libertarian that mainstream conservative (which is quite at odds with his public image, basically based only on his views on immigration)

Obviously Burke. Reflections on Revolution etc. I would also recommend Oswold Spengler (Decline of the West, etc)

Again, the intellectual right tends towards fascism. Moderate positions just don't attract the sort of people who write extensively. I guess some of the religious right may fit the bill, but again, thats kind of extreme.

You see a similar thing on the left. I can't think of many left intellectuals with a lot of published material who were social democrats. If you are totally ideological, you will end up extreme. Hitchens is smart, but he's a commentator not an ideologue.

You want a list of far-right/fascist literature? You might like these. I also recommend Fascism in its Epoch by Ernst Nolte, The Fascist Manifesto by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, For My Legionnaires by Corneliu Codreanu, and Fascism Viewed From the Right by Julius Evola. There's also always the infamous Mein Kampf by Hitler, but I've seen some of my peers deem it to be overrated. However I'm finding it to be a decent read so far (although admittedly I'm not too far in the book).
