You seem to have misunderstood my question. I'm not asking where I should begin studying the western canon of literature, but where within the subsection of said canon known as the Matter of Britain I should begin. I've already started with the Greek, and progressed up to the Complete Works of Plato, but I would like to move to other subjects now. I'm simply missing the link between them and the subject of this thread given the highly convoluted nature of the Matter of Britain and how it evolved between the 9th and 15th centuries, with so many different versions, a non-issue with the Greeks due to the singular incarnations of those works that have survived.
