I don't receive derision when I say that. Do you? I always tell people I enjoy reading, hiking by myself, nature and writing down my thoughts. My coworkers at the warehouse don't give me shit for it and neither do the girls or the people from my time at uni. I was actually invited to a beer on several occasions before just for reading in public and scribbling on my notepad.
