And Le Rouge et Le Noir by Stendahl.
Not to forget Emile Zola also, whose tomb is in the Pantheon were Voltaire's is.
Gustave Flaubert is, of course, standard French classic alongside Victor Hugo. But they're well-known for a reason I suppose.
