What is the state of modern Christian theology? Or theology in general?

>> No.9677317

Modern theologians are too conciliatory to believe in god, it's best for atheists now

Pretty fucking good, liberal theology is effectively dead, Radical Orthodox and Traditionalist theology has exploded in popularity, Postmodern Christianity is still fucking weird. Secular Philosophy wishes they had it this good.

how 2 into postmodern christianity?

Dead as a doornail. Protestantism killed it and Dawkins and friends buried the corpse. There's a few edgy memers left at the wake. You can take solace in the fact that Islamic theology is on life support and Jewish theology is only kept alive by blood sacrifice. Buddhist theology has achieved enlightenment, Hinduism and Taoism continue to do their own batshit things, and Confucianism is experiencing a revival.

It's actually incredibly difficult field to get into because you've got to have substantial knowledge of Hermeneutics, Phenomenology, Post-structuralism, Deconstruction and Deleuze and Nietzsche.

Start with Jean-Luc Marion's God Without Being.
