Textbooks, especially in digital form, will probably be the information unit of choice for a while for specialised subjects.

But for thinks like entertainment books have gotten a lot of competition and doesn't seem to be winning.

Nice to hear, anon. I'm in a somewhat relatable situation except for me the renewed interest in literature and personal fitness came first and I simply lost interest in vidya. As a consequense or just by coincidence I'm not sure.
