Is his upcoming series on the 100 greatest books of the Western canon actually going to be about the most famous canonical works (a la Bloom's canon), or is it going to be a bunch of idiosyncratic personal choices such as what's listed on his website? (https://jordanbpeterson.com/2016/11/book-list/))

I'm hoping it includes plenty of poetry and doesn't focus excessively on philosophy

He's gonna sort out the western canon? Fuck this guy.

Adler's list is classic. Be interesting to see how much Peterson differs from this. Obvious inclusions are going to be Jung, Piaget... what gets cut out though?

This list looks alright but it's very lacking in poetry

I'm also not convinced of the necessity of reading old scientific works. You're better off reading modern textbooks if you want to learn about those topics.

Is no one interested in this?

One more bump since this is the only Peterson thread up that's related to literature. I swear there were no other Peterson threads up when I made this one.

I hope it deviates from his prior lists. Most of them can basically be summed up as: communism is bad, Jung and Freud are watching my dreams. I do hope for more variety and flavour, for sure.

Why do y'all waste your time on this charlatan? He just gets off complaining about postmodernism while demonstrating that he doesn't understand it. This makes people who want a boogieman to blame for life being complicated happy, because they can wag their fingers at the spooky postmodernist. There are legitimate critiques to postmodernism and post-structuralism, but Peterson ain't it.
