If you read some of what he wrote about the Khmer Rouge back in the day, it was basically claiming that we didn't have sufficient evidence for the claims that people were making about what the Khmer Rouge was doing. Turns out they were doing even more horrible things than even the most deranged right wing commentator could have dreamed up.
